I know of a group in CarelonRx whose last day is in October.
@1sou+1tZ85xQD, after mass lay offs, companies typically have to suspending GC process (PERM/I-140 filing) for six months due to the fact that they are now mandated by immigration law to contact laid off U.S. employees with details of the job positions for which PERM/I-140 for an H-1B holder employee is being sought.

If i140 is not filed, H1B cannot be renewed. Is company not going to renew H1B applicants too?
I understand there are many green cards or citizens who lost their job. And wish they all find jobs soon. This is a tough time for everybody. We must stay connected and be strong.
I-140 is for green card application.
For H-1B folks, it’s tough to find a new job within 60 days. Many are also speculating that layoffs might continue, with more expected in October.
Many have been impacted. No new I-140 will be filed since h1b were targeted. More to be targeted in coming months
