I know I’m not just speaking for myself when saying I’ve reached a point where this job is no longer sustainable as it once was. Constant punching down from management who do nothing all day while the rest of us struggle to manage the workload and unrealistic metrics. Monthly or bi-monthly reminders from QA that you are not and will never be good enough. Not to mention, the miserable callers who will take out their frustrations on agents for issues the agents have no control over. HC provider compensation is so criminally low that providers are ending their contracts left and right. No room for growth, no time to breathe, and no time for life outside of work. The average employee manages the work load of 4 people and will never be acknowledged for it. I’ve spoken with coworkers whose health has taken a stark decline on account of the stressful work environment. Workers are not happy but too afraid to say it.

Oh big brother is definitely watching all the sites and reading every thread. I've personally had that confirmed.
My whole org is miserable and it starts at the top. People in roles they have no business being in and no background in the area. Just politiced their way up the ladder. They chased all the good ones out of the company. The rest of us trying to survive and look for other opportunities elsewhere.
I’ll take any job to escape this company. This is an evil corporation who treats both employees and members like garbage.
Yeah I left 9 months ago because of a toxic manager. I had 3 ER cases opened against him in 3 months and he is still there in the same position. He treated me horribly and I only worked for him for 6 months. We were put under him and it was obvious he didn’t want us.
I worked for the company for 5 years and it went totally downhill. Glad I found an awesome new role where I am valued and appreciated.
Being so severely micromanaged on a daily basis is getting to everyone’s head, can’t really blame them. Everyone is probably scared that Big Brother is watching lol. I don’t disagree with you though so I’ll bite.
Can’t speak for the person who responded to the thread saying they were let go on the 18th but I’m with EBH and I also know of a recent hire (also EBH) who was essentially fired for no explanation this past Thursday, which also happened to be the 18th. I trained with them so it was shocking for myself and others in my cohort. The situation was super sketchy and she still doesn’t know why it happened. There’s so much hearsay it’s impossible to know what actually happened but rumor is she was fired for speaking up about being treated poorly by management.
Why exactly are you guys thumbing down the comment about department, you guys act like its only 2 or 3 people in a department where you can figure out who posted. And for those gatekeeping their departments after being laid off is pretty weird. why protect them?
I am holding back every urge to turn off my computer and quit today. It’s not even 1:00 PM yet and I’ve already had two instances where leads have given me wrong information and now I am being asked to follow up with customers so they can scream at me. This is absurd! How much worse will this get with each passing day?
It is hurtful to be tasked to do the job of looking after the AI model that is going to eventually take your job. Feels like walking to your own sentencing
The leadership team has been quiet since September. Noelle (ZERO personality) Eder is supposedly on charge of operations. Where is she? Maybe SHE is a hologram lol.
with how big departments are, they're not finding out who's who..
Due to high likelihood of HR lurking on these threads I doubt anyone is willing to specify what department they work in. If I had to guess, most frustrated posters are scattered across departments… so I don’t think it’s concentrated in one place. If you aren’t experiencing the same gloom as the rest of us, that’s a good thing. With that said, if you aren’t necessarily happy with your role I hope that have the chance to move up or find a job that is better for you. I felt the same way as you did until month 6 where all the negatives began to add up. Everyone on this thread has reached the point of no return where it’s impossible to work without noticing everything negative we have to deal with everyday.
What departments are you all from ? I am curious if it’s concentrated in a specific area or everywhere in Cigna ? Overall the trend since last few posts is people are at breaking point. I am more so getting the similar but not as gloomy as everyone else . Am I missing something ? I am sort of in a place where you know , there are no remote jobs and in general no jobs . Might as well stick out here . I have been trying since months but not getting a single response .
Yes. This job became unsustainable for me about a year ago. I just keep trying to find a way out.
My pastime has been applying to other jobs trying to get out. My department has eliminated multiple employees and we've been in a hiring freeze. I can barely keep up.
Yes. And that is the point of the anti-employee policies. Don't let them get to you. Be positive and let that energy be contagious - not theirs. Head up!
My job has taken a toll on my health, making it difficult to do my job. If I quoted what management has said to me regarding my paid time off from work due to my health or my unscheduled time away from my desk, I would expose myself and risk my job. It’s been straight abuse and harassment. Sunday night brings me anxiety and illness. While I don’t want to lose my income, I keep my fingers crossed that enduring this struggle will bring me something better. In all the jobs I’ve worked (remote and in person), this is the worst most stressful and micromanaged.
I just realized that I have to work tomorrow. I know I should be thankful to have a job. I just hate that feeling if dread.
Can’t even enjoy sundays anymore because I dread having to log in for work on monday. This is the worst WFM job on the planet and I work 100x harder at home than I ever have had to in an office… would rather go back to retail than put up with this any longer
I was let go on 01/18 but was unhappy with the role and planning to leave anyway. No better time than the present to formulate an exit strategy as what you’re describing will never improve
