Be careful. Could they make your life heck, demote you when you perform well for other organizational reasons, and prevent you from transferring to another department… yes. If you dare set a skip level to try and communicate needs, could you be acted against…yes!

Reading through HCSC site, looks like (HCSC leadership) suddenly and mid-year taken away how much PTO employees can roll over. By comparison, we here at Cigna can roll over 56 hours vs their 16. I am not trying to read too much into this, but most companies who limit how much PTO you can carry over do so to avoid having to "cash out" employees who are laid off. Also reading comments from HCSC employees, they don't seem too thrilled about how they all have to go into the office while we (at least initially) will be WFH. No matter how many townhalls we have reassuring us WFH employees that things will be okay, I don't believe it. HCSC will do what they want. HCSC will eventually ask us all to update and provide them will all of our P&P's [so they can replace us]. My advice is to give the bare minimum of what you/your team does and don't give away your "secrete sauce".

To address the WFH piece - go to HCSC website and see how many WFH jobs are out there. Practically none. The only jobs that seem to have a WFH/hybrid component are case management jobs and all of the postings require home visits, which our case management departments do not require and haven’t for years.

It doesn’t make sense to let employees know this now. People would be actively trying to leave mid-year. It’s smart business to not be too up front, unfortunately.

I filled it out and most of my answers was neither agree/disagree because I don't know much of the details of anything. Everything I want to know is "too soon" to discuss. The only thing I am sure about is I don't feel secure in my role as it (along with all of ours) can very well be eliminated by HCSC after the transaction

@1slp+1tyJoQ2g I received that email about mental health to my personal email earlier this week. I’ve not even opened the survey yet. So no, I don’t think they are sending it based on the survey. However, how could anyone’s be in great shape considering the year we’ve had?!!

I filled it out - cautiously. I had a number of neither agree/disagree because it had statements like “I know”…. Thing is we don’t know. Like nothing. We don’t even have ANY level of assurance that they will allow a WFH policy. It seems really insensitive not to address it when it impacts so many of us not in one of their FIVE states. They need to give us something - sitting in the dark like this on basic stuff (like WFH) is nonsense.

PSA: it’s not anonymous and while it is confidential, I’ve heard that they can narrow down/ pinpoint responses. The “it depends” variables are the leader(s) in your management chain and the HR person(s) lined up to your team.

If they want to look for something, they can.

Should that limit your responses? Perhaps.

Swim at your own risk. Red flags flying. Sharks and riptides.

Nothing changes if nothing changes. Be honest. Take screenshots and save them as a CYA. They can’t afford to retaliate.

I did and ironically I got an email right after that was title “your mental health needs caring for too!” Inside it said “it’s ok to say you’re not ok”

This was to my personal email from my benefits plan I get through work.

I can’t tell if it was coincidental or prompted because I said I was worried about my future.

that was also my thought? read the top page when you go into it will not be anonymous and if you start but do not finish it will still close out and take what you did answer but cannot go back to it and change etc.
