Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

CLAIM JOBS WILL NEVER MOVE TO THE HUBS

With all the changes the new leadership over P & C claims are implementing across all of p&c they will never get these claim jobs moved into the hubs. Not Injury, not TL, not fire, not Sub, not Property. There is to much for new hires to learn and retain, they will not stay. What we have in the hubs now cannot do the work. We will work from home forever or until they make us miserable enough to quit.

I call bs. If they could get them moved into the hubs they would have done it. People in the hubs continue quitting.

Go to hub or be replaced. Get over yourself!

The only thing you are forgetting about is reality. SF could care less about handling claims, doing the right thing or customer service. That is all a rouge! State Farm is just a big bank/money holding company for the Executives and Agents to skim money off the top. That is it, pure, plain, and simple. WFH, HUBs, EOM, Process....blah blah blah... is just like the politicians always promising to fix everything then doubling down on the theft/scam. They could care less and laugh all the way to the bank and private jets.
AI will eliminate most of our jobs in the next 3-5 years and millions will be standing in line for your job.....they could do away with any fully remote jobs in 24 months and have everyone replaced in the hubs. They think any monkey can do your job, the last decade of hiring is proof of that mentality. Everyone and I mean everyone is replaceable. For every posting State Farm post externally, we get anywhere from 10-15K applicants. Do not kid yourself! State Farm is a big scam like most corporations these day, be selfish and take steps to protect yourself.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!!!
They are far to stupid. They should be focused on utilizing the exit plan for wfh and hiring in the hubs and making that stable. But no, they are focused on changing work flows and processes, adding pointless surveys and templates to the point its hard for the most experienced to keep up. THEY WILL NEVER GET ALL THE CLAIMS JOBS INTO THE HUBS. it is by far to overwhelming for new hires.

Agree. No offices. No one cares. Most have already quietly quit. I know I have. I could not care any less what they do or what number they go down to. Not my problem. Above my pay grade. I do not recommend SF. When asked I completely discourage going with SF. They are not loyal to employees, just given what they give.

@1rp Hard to have us in office when they literally sold off all the buildings and bought out the 5-15year leases on the op centers when they sent us home for Covid. Rent a building in my town like we used to have then SF can order me back into the office. If you want me to go to a hub city, well you and the company can kiss my a$$.

@a2 they dont need to legal it out with remote people. They can simply do what they did with transformation. Either move to a hub or be terminated

@a1 Thats odd since State Farm thus far has been one of the few top 50 corporations to still retain remote and hybrid work environments.

With the college indoctrinated paper wearing kids today that parents have raised, it i no wonder why they will move them to the hubs to baby sit.

They are not smart. P & C claims is complete sh-t show.

If the CM's were smart they use the tool they been given (the exit package) to get the jobs moved to the hubs Which they are allowed to use, i think once a year. They are able to control how many they let leave and could replace in the hubs. If they were smart they do this every year to achieve their goal. KEY WORDS -IF THEY WERE SMART. They have proven not to be.

Allstate here! From time to time I like to check out other threads/post to see if the industry is as f-cked up as it is here at Allstate. I got into the industry about 15 years ago and was pretty good deal to start with. Reading these post about State Farm is a mirror image and they are doing exactly what Allstate did when we became #3 and continue to slide. We have Allstate India which is a total nightmare. We are outsourcing and continuing to go after our agents. Every day I come into work is a nightmare and we have constant reorganizations, leadership changes, layoff threats and just overall fu-king sh-t show like SF. Trust me, it get's a lot worse. I got a drop file memo about two years ago because they felt I was basically paying too many claims. LOL! We have the same DEI hires and work force of absolute re-ards. Again it does get worse and it is not for the faint of heart! All the Execs run in the same circles and worship the same golden idols. Pure evil trash.

@b4 fire initial loss reporting is already using everise, so technically claims has already started outsourcing to other countries, I'm guessing Auto initial loss reporting will be next

Giving people severance or actually doing layoffs so people could at get unemployment would actually be the decent, right thing to do. So we definitely know these sh-t bags aren't interested in being decent or doing the right thing. F-ck that place...

I saw the underwriting jobs posted on the Philippines, the pay was under 3 dollars per hour.

State Farm - Everise is who we have outsourced a lot of underwriting jobs too and that is only the beginning There are a ton more plans to outsource areas including claims as stated. Fully remote? Good luck guys, I do feel for you but all I can say is good luck. You probably just don't grasp of how bad it is in the hubs. I know you have some huge concerns as they kind of have you by the short hairs but my best advice would be to keep your options open and always, always be looking for a new job.

You can't be forced to return to an office when there is no office. Do you think they can make ALL totally remote employees miserable enough to quit or will they have to offer the exit package.

We will see, effective June/July 01, 2026 claims will have a return to work mandate. SF believes they can fill all of the spots for people that leave with people from underwriting as they will be overstaffed by thousands. Most people do not know we are outsourcing most of the remaining simple tasks in underwriting to third party vendors across three different countries including South Africa and the Philippines. Rumor has it this is being looked at for ILR and Express too and will source their work. Between underwriting and ILR/Express, that is going to free up a ton of floor space, enough to bring back everyone full time. 2026 is going to be a total calamity at State Farm. They will continue to abuse the fully remote folks as well to weed them out. Just remember this company is pure evil he-l hole! If you haven't already, for the love of God, please cancel your State Farm policies and tell all your friends and family about this sh-t hole.

I wouldn't bet on it.

State Farm (best way) to actually (save money) and (to manage their employees) is face-to-face.
