Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Happy Holidays

Cheryl B sends her holiday wishes in the form of a 60 day notice to a group of Claims employees this week. Have fun with those conversations around the Thanksgiving table…

Will there be anymore layoffs coming up in claims or are they done for this year?

Every company I ever worked for laid off right before Thanksgiving. They are doing their budgeting for the next year. It seems cruel but it's not new and it's not unique to Allstate.

Let’s get real. Allstate will do everything possible to save money on their biggest liability ; On-shore Labor. Self service and. AI will be taking on more of the casualty business in 2024. It is moving very fast. Allstate doesn’t care a fig about American jobs. Look around. It’s blatantly apparent. Get through the next 4 weeks of 2023 and get out after the new year. Allstate is not a good place to work. Getting a $5.00 gift card to Amazon or Starbucks shows how little they appreciate their employees. Claims adjusters are the toilet cleaners of this hole. The constant correction of data by humans hands only proves that off shore vendors have ruined this organization and have zero accountability for it. There are so many secrets and lies being told. Who trains these vendors ? AI. That’s who!

This is fake news. It is already confirmed and verified that mass layoffs and vendor movements for Claims employees are going to be in first and second quarter 2024. There are no Claims layoffs for the rest of 2023.

She's a great claims leader, and likely our next Chief Claims Officer? The architect of Shapiro's November 2020 downsizing, and some might refer to her as his executioner. She has somehow survived leading the casualty claims group through a period of adverse reserve adjustments, spiking severity, pending backlogs, and excess jury verdicts.

Can't confirm or deny the 60 day notices but she'll do what TW and company want, which ended up being Brandt's demise.
