Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Changes to WFH Schedule

I have heard that all of Honeywell will be going to a 4/1 schedule for WFH (4 days in office). Has anyone heard anything similar?

Was told so long as I worked revcog and pushing the OT, didn't have to come in at all.

But... also know of colleagues told they had to do 3-2. It's not consistent, but that's funnysmell for ya.

Honeywells hybrid policy is probably the only perk to working here.

HCE just had an announcement about “being a magnet for software talent” as a goal… yes 5 days a week in office and low salary will make SWEs want to join /s

Right now, it seems that all of industry is getting back on the 5 day a week bandwagon. Honeyhell is wanting to play along, but maybe concerned with losing the more experienced productive people? We can't tell. I am sure that Honeyhell is feeling pain with employee loss, but they'll never admit it.

DA is on his way out and is looking to get himself above $30 million this year. We will know once Honeywell files their complete 2022 SEC filings. I predict that he'll be gone before Fall.

If this is true....even more proof Honeywell management is out of touch with the real world. When you make millions in bonus you really don't give a c*ap about your employees. It is all about controlling the minions.

I guess "bye" is in order. I don't think you'll get 5 days at home.

But I'll be willing to bet you'll still be here....

3+2 and in close future to have shared workspace = you will share filthy tables, keyboards and mouses with whole bunch of other people nicely spreading all possible diseases just to save few $. Not to mention problems with docking stations, monitors, LAN etc. And obvious morning race to get the best spot and not to sit next to loud kitchen, toilets or some sweating filthy smelly colleague who likes to be loud during all meetings. Of course no personal space for storing stuff you need every day. Disgusting.
I'd rather have 5 day homeoffice of leave this company.

If people relocated thinking the policy won't change just are rather clueless. In no communication did Hon ever state that working from home/flex schedule is permanent.

I get why folks like WFH but those that never come are helping to support the coming changes. We have 2 on our team and the tracking of our entire team is quite obvious.

For anyone that moved I just can't feel sorry for. You know how this company works.

India just announced their new WFH policy called 3+. Be in the office at least 3 days a week. Not much different than 3:2. However, I've also heard 4+ and 5 days in the office are being discussed.

Are they doing this to make people quit so they don't have to payout severances?

Otherwise this makes no sense. Most people I know are happy with this hybrid. I used to be in the CLT office and I liked going in but would hate doing it full time.

I would love to see them try this in HCE. Unless they’re looking to shutter the entire thing.

Bucket? You’re lucky. We were told to use a 24/7 catheter.

I heard 8 days a week in the office, if you have to p-e you do it in a bucket under your desk. #2 is on you own time.

I have heard this. Also heard my department peers telling the manager no way no how. Many key people relocated and wont drive.

I heard it was going to be 5 days home a week with no pay except severance and UI for most of SPS by the end of the month!

Not yet, we are in SPS Charlotte. Rumblings of full time but no confirmation on any changes yet.
