Now it really seems that layoffs and the lot are on the horizon. I also feel that the executive team is not taking enough of a pay cut in terms of percentage, as 20% is not much at all considering they make so much money. "People first", my a–.

Slb engineers are polite and very smart
And they depend on them for everything
And including doing mangers job work
Developing company reputation and yes doing projects to get promotions And to top that of doing paper work , calculations, mass balance, etc......
To much BS to get salary deductions
Thanks

Look up Olivier Le Peuch compensation. He made 19.12 million dollars in 2019. That includes 10.5 M in stock award associated with his promotion. 269 times the median employee's compensation. They use field engineer at 71,000 in 2019, down from 75,000 in 2018. I believe in making money, however, us "essential" employees have not had a raise in years, insurance cost up, no more bonuses. 269:1 is a little much. Don't you think ?
Wait - since Paal is on the payrolls, is he getting furloughed or taking the 25% cut too?
Thanks 3rdw+14fdLzKV for pointing out
- and what about Paal? Is he taking his 20-25% salary cut? He is still getting his $2M for his "wonderful" leadership in all these past years.
"Schlumberger Ltd.’s Paal Kibsgaard may be leaving his job, but he’ll collect paychecks for years to come. The outgoing chief executive officer will continue to lift his $2 million annual salary through July 31, 2022, in exchange for providing “certain services” and agreeing not to take a job at a rival"

OLP he’s got this...uncommon times call for great leaders...he is the one and he will be successful beyond anyone’s imagination
Always darkest before the dawn...OLP has this...has us and has the vision. Throw your support behind him...he gets it and will deliver for the company. He has passion!
Is there a copy of this memo with the 20% exec salary cut floating around somewhere? Emails must be batch releasing.
It's not 20%. It's 20% of salary, for only 1 quarter. In other words, it's 5% of salary for the entire year.
Of course, salary being historically 10% of their total annual compensation, in effect it is -0.5% (half percent) reduction of their total annual compensation.
But still better than Paal
