Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Total Trash heap!

They are trying to run off all tenured employees. Don't want people to stay. 70% of employees in most areas have been with SF 2 years or less, per plan. We are the Dollar General, Waffle House, $8 Wine Box, Carnival Cruise, Disney Movie Remake, Quiky Mart or excuse sir can you spare some change of the insurance industry. Bottom of the barrel! Look around, look at the people we hire, feels like you are standing in line down at the DMV ..... The people running this place are total trash, and I pray they will rot in #$%@ when they die! F-ck off SF!

SF is like 99% of jeep owners. They think their the coolest but know nothing about 4WD and have never been on a real 4WD trail. Probably wear dockers, loafers and a sweater over their shoulders. Definitely wannabes just like the section managers and VPs who think they can hunt but just run around in a company car with a rifle loaded against company policy. Yup! They're all out there. Sad bunch.

@1pc Maybe HR doing the hiring is the problem. It isnt a problem in ET or other tech areas.

@1p8 Managers don't hire anyone anymore, HR and recruiting do it all. That is part of the problem. they only have to fill a quota. When I was interviewing for claim reps I was looking for quality not quantity.

@OP not sure where you're getting your data but it's highly inaccurate in ET and IS. The workforce is highly tenured. The problem is in claims and underwriting and those types of areas. They in large hire any warm body that's not even deserving of working a cash register at 7/11. These are the same people claiming they're worth more and out of the other side of their mouth, trashing state farm. Managers hiring these people are inept, I'll give you that.

Sadly they are trying to run off tenure employees but tenure employees can handle all the changes and things thrown at them. The new ones cannot and are the ones quitting. Its backfiring on them and they can't keep new hires. Hilarious. They should just go ahead and exit offer the tenure employees out.

Another Enron story but should be a mutual story.
