Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

LinkedIn bombarded!

The ATT retirement announcements are over loading LinkedIn! Looks like it was a very larger number that jumped off!

To all of you posting those the pics of your badges and the sentimental thoughts...here's a tip:

Stop it. No one cares.

Go get you another job; or retire and enjoy yourself.

No one cares to read you waxing poetic about your decades at T.

Signed- Everybody

Most had been doing part-time work for many years.

They all took it because of the medical coverage until Medicare. Knew a lot and they all said that is the reason.

Some of them will be looking for part time jobs for spending money but they are glad they are away from att.

I never got the medical coverage until Medicare so left for a much better job and took the lump sum and rolled it over into an ira. Hoping to keep Biden away from it when I retire but that is another subject. But glad I got my pension away from att because there is nothing I trust about att. It really is a cesspool.

The great resignation was well overdue. More needed to stay competitive with market industry. I am guessing T will need to shed about another 75K-100K to be in the right spot for cost structure.

It's a huge number, like 18 people. Wow. AT&T is doomed.

I believe it the health insurance until medicare was big to a lot of people. they were just staying as long as they could to get the biggest pension they could get.

Already missing a lot of the people as friends, but most had little to no ROI for T. Just too costly for the current skill level.
