On e we cut deep already, it gets to a point when you're cutting too deep and all you can do as a leader is trying to leave behind the strongest possible team you can. This can mean good employees are selected to separate in order to achieve the required reduction and manager span of control criteria. If the trat if the team is in the office and one isn't, that may be viewed as the employee being at a disadvantage compared to others - a disadvantage that may be viewed as a weakness, unfortunately. I don't share this to be insensitive because this is a terrible situation and I feel bad for anyone being let go. But there will definitely be some puzzling decisions made where it's not clear at all why they were made because when you're cutting too deep, you're splitting hairs when trying to grapple with the right decisions. Take care.

I had been fully remote since I was hired (initially part of ETS) and was officially notified of being let go last Thursday (August 24, the day of the initial email from Mike). I had previously had annual performance and reviews above the departmental average with the highest possible percentage increase in the last two years. There was no indication that my performance was not up to par and I was working on a project that was knowingly under-resourced and time-sensitive. No actual reason for my lay-off was given and I can only assume it was my remote work agreement.

Nope, no more really targeted at this time.

It's no secret are this point that the "useless" remote people are the ones actually working while people like @1ohk+1olOLqEi take their 15th smoke break of the day.

Remote people are useless. Get rid of them all.

I don’t think any CEC’e are being closed. However if you are an employee that is remote/visit an RBO (like myself), You are likely being targeted based on conversations I have had with my manager.
