Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Anyone negotiating severance?

Just curious if anyone has tried or thought about trying to negotiate their severance?

@1ogc+1p122u8Y He-l nah I'm not staying another 2 months to deal with the bs everyone has been talking about in the main thread / micromanaged to he-l. Especially not when this isn't my only source of income. Situation for me is unique compared to others so mental health > centene

@djk+1p122u8Y Are you in a state that requires payment of PTO? Wouldn't it make sense to get the severance plus unused PTO?

Centene doesn't payout unused PTO unless required by the state.

I talked with labor attorney who said they could look at the package and negotiate but they can pull the whole thing off the table, it’s a risk.

You’re better off just quitting and cashing out on used PTO. My unused PTO payout is worth more than the severance I was given

Curious as to what leverage you think you might have to get a better deal?
