Retention will not be fixed until TW repairs the Allstate pricing models on the Auto Insurance product. Moreover, Allstate is using underwriting guidelines that were developed in the 1980's. In the meantime, Geico and Progressive have more sophisticated pricing that can develop a rate for all types of risks. Allstate's appetite for risk is very capped and limited. TW only wants the 2 cars and the $300K house. News flash Tom, so do all the other carriers.

The institutional shareholders have Wilson on a short leash. TW is fixing the expense ratios. Bravo to TW and GS for taking the regions from 13 to 4. Furthermore, some of the dead weight he got rid of in sales management should earn him the Nobel Peace prize for getting rid of some very talentless sales managers that were outright stealing from the company. However, he is taking the money that he is saving and giving it back to the shareholders in dividends and share repurchases. Turning a blind eye to the broken auto product is allowing Geico, Progressive, and the "Wolf" to get fat off Allstate defections.

This company lives to slap employees in the face...the latest example is the most disgusting...
To lay people off and then to offer them their prior job back at less money....
Who does that??? Who would think that is right or ethical???
You better believe that I hope that this company fails....they deserve it big time...

After the way this company has demoralized and broken its associates it is not surprising the hope is they fail. They have failed their workers and caused great pain. Allstate is awful. People are jumping ship as fast as possible. Associates customers and agents. They won. India will be taking over all claims handling soon. And AI will be selling this junk. Glenn is rubbing his hands together and can’t wait. Associates are selling stock and getting distanced from this smelly place fast.

How is that Glenn is still at Allstate?

fuh+1aGOmqf3, in case you haven’t noticed, they are losing their jobs anyway...in the middle of a pandemic when corporate profits have never been higher..
Do you really think that Allstate is a corporation that has any desire to save jobs unless it is the overpaid gluttons in the corporate suite????
The decision has already been made to move the majority of operations to India yet still suck off the t@t of the American consumer pretending they are an American company...
The best thing that can happen to Allstate workers is to find another job at a company that actually gives any concern for their employees...or for that matter their customers...

@fyv+1aGOmqf3 so you want to see all of those good people lose their jobs because you dislike the direction of a company? You seem nice... How about you go work somewhere else and let the business do what the business is going to do. Rooting for its demise is childish.

@nrg+1aGOmqf3, not “MY” company buddy..
It is a horrendous company to customers and employees alike......
A salaried sweatshop.....
Not an ounce of integrity at this point...
The most overpaid senior management in the industry while they nickel/dime, layoff their “grunts.”...then try to get them back at less
Money....

Yes, I hope for this “has been” corporation to fail and to fail BIG as a cautionary tale to other corporations as to what can happen when the dollar becomes the ONLY thing that matters to a corporation.....
They sold their soul to the devil when they hired Shapiro and bought into this vision of slash and burn....
It is poetic justice that they now need to increase hiring in the stars because their India plan has imploded due to Covid.....laughing my a-s off..

What kind of as----e wishes their company is failing? It'll only result in more layoffs and more outsourcing.
