Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Welcome to Allstate

…where we cheat our customers by putting in processes where we try to entice them to go away by offering them less then they should receive if they choose not to repair their car, where we lowball offer and if the offer is refused we delay and delay and delay to make things as frustrating as possible hoping they will just go away, we try to get out of paying for valid expenses like rental cars, where we treat valid claimants as an enemy and we refuse to return the calls of our insureds, where we try to make our retention look better by making those good risks pay higher rates if they are less
Likely to leave and make them subsidize poor risks who are most likely to leave if rates are raised…the list goes on and on but I am not going to post the examples all day….
Where we try to destroy hard working employees by purposely creating a toxic environment to make them quit so we can get out of paying severance, where we lie and lie and lie to our employees, where we only will pay them 75 percent of what the true value of the job is, the list goes in and on…
To the public:
Chose your insurance carrier wisely. If you are not currently insured by Allstate.,:stay away.
If you are currently insured by Allstate, leave now or you will be cheated if you ever have a need to take advantage of the coverage that you are paying for:

From a claims perspective you’re in a tough spot. What do you tell these attorneys? That you’re using bogus software? The reps don’t want to lose their jobs either. Most attorneys know what’s going on and how to exploit it. It’s such a tough spot. And that’s on this company.

What about some of the wacky ECs they have in place? The ECs that have been sitting in the same chair since the 1980’s and their sense of valuing cases hasn’t changed lol.

If you still think some of the technology AS uses to lower the amount in claims paid is OK, other carriers disagree. Some go as far to say this technology is bordering on bad faith. If it even lowers a percentage of settlements, they’ve succeeded by unfairly lowering settlements to dimwitted claimants. It’s in the playbook. They’ve been getting away with it for years. That’s just one of many shady practices this company continues to use.

When you leave the company and they can no longer harm you all of this is good information to share in social media sites like Allstates own sites on Facebook and Instagram…:
That is where the public will actually see it..

I currently work for this
Corporation and I can tell you that everything that OP says is true…It is just the tip of the iceberg.
The things that you are asked to do makes you feel dirty..The way you are treated makes you feel less than human.
The insurance department complaint is a great recommendation. We had a market conduct review in no fault and the company was fined over 1,000,000 because the fine was a financial penalty for every claim where the state found an issue that the law was not properly followed. . The local management literally s@@t a brick because they thought they would lose their job.

I recommend all people who are sc@@wed over to immediately file complaints with their state insurance departments.
Complaint volume can trigger a market conduct review where the SID sends investigators into the offices and looks at what is going on and can trigger fines or even the possibility of licensing in the state.
I can tell you for a fact that Allstate is very fearful of these market conditions reviews because when Allstate is investigated in this way it usually leads to major fines when Allstate practices are discovered.
Be smart…do not let them take advantage of you….:because they will….if you let them..
