Is Bellevue being phased out?

I overheard a manger nentioning they night fully transition to Overland Park. Could that be accurate?

Further, the entire Newport office complex was sold in 2019 to Preylock Holdings LLC, an LA Real Estate Investment group, who show the Bellevue Campus as one of their main investments. They show Newport 100% Leased, 95% to T-Mobile (the rest would be leased to AAA).

The buildings in Bellevue are not owned by AAA. T-Mobile leases the buildings from an international holding company called Ivanhoe Cambridge (apparently via something called Newport Corporate Center LLC). The lease runs through 2030.

Note the article, dated November 19, 2018, talks of "...a Kansas HQ to come..."

Tmo doesn't own any buildings in Bellevue, they are renters. Factorial is owned by AAA.

I know in my Org during the Aug layoff last year, they offered some remote people relocation to either HQ1/Bellevue or HQ2/OP in order to stay on (or take severance and gtfo) so it makes sense that they'd try to push people to OP?

The campus isn't "full" by any means so there is room for more expansion/people. (I probably see the most people during an AEM or something with a guest) So I can see how they'd want more people in OP to justify the corporate real estate/lease. Plus, there's not much in Kansas besides T-Mobile though.

The bellevue lease runs through 2030. I'll suggest that t mobile could get people out of it early and sublet.

I highly doubt Bellevue is going anywhere since they just spent $70 something million* renovating (and the elevators still dont work).

There really are a lot of empty buildings at the OPKC campus, plus TMO isn't even in all the buildings on the the old Sprint campus either. Plus I've been hearing that they might go back to the 5 day in office thing. This is speculation but I wouldn't be surprised.

The Lord talked to me. Bellevue will be gone is what He/Him/His told me. Amen.

Sprint people know one thing, and that is how to ruin a company. What would you listen to them on anything else?

@2pda+1sJm6QRv "Yes, she was leading DEI and all the DEI programs as the executive sponsor."

Nope. Holli M. leads DE&I and the DE&I executive sponsors are Sievert, Freier & Deeanne.

Comparing Bellevue and Kansas City is stupid. What would be even worse though is T-Mobile forcing people who are rooted in Bellevue to move to save their jobs especially when pretty much any hq role can be done remotely...

@1nlz+1sJm6QRv "...the head of DEI, Edwidge..."

Yes, she was leading DEI and all the DEI programs as the executive sponsor.

Kansas City is a third world shi thole.

Just a heads up, Kansas City has a lot of talent, even for those who think there's no talent there. The pay is much lower than in WA, which would save the company money and make the shareholders happy. The OP campus has a bunch of empty buildings. Do I want to see WA move to OP? Not really, but the city and the space can handle it.

Bellevue is not going anywhere. We need a holding pen for all the skinny jean blue/pink/purple with bowling pen shaped people so company can maintain dei quota.

I'm not worried. I have 100% trust The Lord won't move my job to the shi thole know as Kansas. Can I get an Amen! Thank you Jesus!

No. Talent pool in the OP area is shallow at best. Unless you’re from there, no one wants to move/ live there. OP is expensive, lacks diversity, extreme weather, etc….

It makes sense financially. Pretty sure the Overland Park “Sprint” campus was sold to a developer though. Not unlimited room to move there.

Wrong question to ask. It's a matter of when. WA is a sh*thole as a result of the political policies making it harder for any business to operate. Moving to a red state makes sense and puts more money in everyone's pockets at only a cost of relocating. You WA fkers are voting for the wrong candidates.

When an entire political party plans an election without a functioning human as their candidate, is it any wonder this Nation is the vile disguising reflection of its leadership…. In no other news, of course why wouldn’t TMO move to OP from Washington State when the top level execs can move to a lower cost of living and lower taxes local while most of workers are stuck in a failed states and their failing economies of which will vote for your the “weekend at Bernie’s” guy.
