Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Same Operation as when Mikey L. was in charge

Short version. More layoffs in 2020. DXC management wastes money for several years (changing strategy, bad decisions, open facilities, close facilities). Off shore. Buy other companies and sell health division , but no raises for 6 years. Heard through top sources that Salvino has a twin, One face to whole company and clients, but another (mean) personality with all his direct reports. Most legacy employees and kept this company from failing amid years of layoffs, executives just made it worse. Most legacy staff don't trust upper management or company officers. Also heard that company is having a cash flow issue , so hard to meet payroll. Mike L. Created the Titanic, Mike S. is a BS'r too, big head, thinks he knows how to re-float the DXC Titanic.

Has been a c-ap company to work for and if it believes that relying on fraudulent outsourcing promises from the Indians is going to bail them out, better to jump on the sword now. Since the old EDS execs managed to scam HP out of billions for the sinking ship, it has continued to sink. Why on earth would any company want to do business with them.

Mikey (that's MIKEY)...is nasty, arrogant, know-it-all, thin skin .... What about the diff. management (Current) at account and other levels. Didn't they know/see where the non-billable L5 - L8 were and still not act upon it... why not get rid of them too ! even if billable...

I would be an angry CEO too if my high tech company couldn't start a video conference. "Kids and grandmas around the world are doing Zoom calls every day and my company can't start a call?"

That was probably the moment Salvino decided to look for the exits on the sh– show. Don't be surprised if he finds a better offer elsewhere jumps within the next 6 months.

Are 1-4 levels who does not work with clients safe?

Did anyone actually expect anything different? Mikey knew when to get out (or the board finally woke up and drove him out). He steered the thing into a death spiral. He jumped out when there was no possible way to put a positive spin on the issues and keep the stock up. Maybe an amazing leader can turn it around but it won't be fast and won't be without lots more pain.

Some of us L1-L4 can work very well on our own without "leadership." However, I understand the need for SOME management - but not the layers we have right now.

I was able to get in and yes, I can confirm that her was very nasty. He showed his true colors and showed that he is NOT a leader.

Old Mikey has absconded from the Titanic and surfaced at Palm Beach. Meanwhile current management is at the helm but all directionfinders are seeking the nearest icebergs ahead of the management team being whisked off the ship in the nick of time. Do the hard working employees stand any chance of surviving?

Using the name "Mikey" just makes you look like an id–t.

Attended Salvino's skype call last week. I was surprised at how tough he was. I'm sure lots of people had a different impression ( "mean"). Lots of dead weight about to be jettisoned!

Why are you not surprised that there are more layoffs, just to support Mikey in his new disguise?

Jo Mason is 1 of the WFR'd ones too?

Sounds same cuts and no rises, strange how the AT&T boss got another year of bumper pay and bonuses like every year.

He certainly showed a rather vicious side on that webcast earlier. He's telling us "good news" but was quick to anger and the veneer fell off very quickly.

I think if he wants people to smile and clap he needs to be a little more personable - that earlier was nothing of the sort. It felt like an audience with a North Korean dictator.

New Mike ran a town hall today that no one could get into for 20 mins, I gave up. Big tech company eh!! From what I was told there was a very confrontational and angry CEO on display and one that is obviously buckling under the pressure to turn this sh1t show around. Maybe he should value the lower staff more and give is a pay rise for a start

If you listened to his speech today then you know exactly who he is. This was the real man behind the office. Either you support customers or you are gone. Period no way to keep you and the leaders 5-8 levels far as he is concerned are just a waste of manpower. Good then run this without us and see what happens. you really think the 1-4 levels will do anything without leadership?
