@2opq+1v2RVetf - One would gobble up Elevance stock in a classic pump-and-dump (as we've recently seen).
What does one do with $21.9 million? Outside the range of my comprehension.
Elevance keeps sending our jobs overseas to folks who do not care and have no skin in the game. The sloppy job they do is often downright embarrassing to our company as a whole. Seems to me that since Gail is ultimately responsible for our terrible earnings this year, perhaps the place to start with cost cutting would be her salary. According to a google search and several different sources, Gail’s compensation package in 2023 was $21.9 MILLION dollars. I feel like she could probably live comfortably on 11 million dollars a year…how many American jobs would that save? How much less customer abrasion would occur if a call placed to Elevance Health was answered by someone that we can easily understand? I am certainly not a genius, but that certainly makes good business sense in my head.

Carelon is impacted. My team was moved to Carelon and now some of my coworkers have been RIF'd today.

I was just riffed. I have committed half my life to this company. It doesn't matter ... instead of the CEO taking a paycut they would rather put more and more people out of work.
My team was effected by RIF today. :( I was not, but someone on my team was.
@1zoo+1v2RVetf Blue Shield of California is NOT Elevance. They are a totally separate insurer. Elevance operates as Anthem Blue Cross in California.

I had a coworker let go earlier this year, didn’t get another job at Elevance. A month later, a job with their same responsibilities posted under a different title and offshore.
I’ve read multiple people have had similar experiences.

After the town hall if you didn’t get layoffs were coming, you have blinders on. Meeting scheduled by leader after hours for tomorrow afternoon. RIFs will start tomorrow and know I am on the list. Department is health solutions, not sure who else.
CA impacted at the Woodland Hills office and Cerritos, so if you are a CA associate assigned to either of those of locations, there is potential impact. The WARN report shows 58 associates from WH, and 64 from Cerritos.

There’s so many different threads going on about this so it’s hard to keep track, but yes, it does appear some people were let go, and there are rumblings regarding tomorrow being a RIF day for some as well.
