With all other SBUs being sold off or spun out, only thing that remains is the Automation+UOP combo. That would be some strange combo. Or is UOP also being sold/spun out, anyone know? It does have a very high flying CEO.

Honeywell (Industrial) will shed businesses not aligned with the post 2026 strategy.
Simpler portfolio and market identity is the next priority.
Honeywell will also be renamed yet again to represent the new entity.
That is my 'humble' opinion, which may or may not be educated.
Even leadership despise leadership but it makes sense.
Shareholder value. Not employees.
They’ll do whatever it takes to increase shareholder value. Regardless of a running in the ground. Expect whoever is left to work longer hours.
Then there either have a mega merger. The worst case scenario, they just sell everything off one by one or file bankruptcy. I would expect all you guys to get your resumes going. If you’re you’ll get a job for about $21 an hour. Maybe driving automotive parts around the town.
Businesses with high market caps will remain. Businesses with low market caps will be sold. There is no point floating extreme costs for marginal businesses unless they have a chance of growing market cap.
@1nen+1w61ufKt That is truly the Honeywell way! It is an asset strip by any other name.
@1nen+1w61ufKt HR is its own shady business unit.
UOP has incredible solar cell technology as well along with sustainable fuel and batteries. The future is incredible, regardless of the spin offs.
The common thread here is HW acquires a leading business, hollows it out, ki-ls R&D, destroy the value and then sells at much lower value. Can’t think of any business off hand that has thrived under HW management.
Intelligrated, HGAS and PSS should be sold off. Ain't gonna fetch a huge amount though, not in comparison to their past value.
what is considered automation? IA (Industrial Automation)? what about building automation? I would think UOP would be sold out, it does not make any sense to keep with automation.
True. UOP also has great management expertise. During the time it’s people have been in charge the Advanced Materials business, the AM revenues went up 300% organically. Too bad the HON management has been coming from HPS and not from UOP. The rev would have been over $100 B otherwise.
Yeh UOP a once fantastic business was decimated with Honeywell's purchase but still holds tangible value and assets which in the right hands could regain its stature. I hope it is sold and returns to its former glory, it will be significantly easier to sell than the cr@p, antiquated leftovers in IA. It has been 'suggested' that Honeywell has been discretely touting the sale of IA businesses and been laughed out of town.
UOP is a gem of a business. Lots of unique technologies, including sustainable aviation, grid scale energy storage etc etc.
