Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

All done

Allstate announced today in a meeting with Northeast management that all Northeast employees have until 7-1 to accept a layoff package which DOES include 2 weeks of severance for each year worked and uncontested unemployment. Anyone who declines this will be let go by 1-1-24 with no severance. I’d say take the money now since there are plenty of companies hiring right now in all areas of claims.

@1nbc+1n1lCoYG Jokes on you, my CSL is never available! Unless I get a bad reinspection that is, then he’s like white on rice!

Absolute BS. 1. Regions no longer exist so there were no region sessions. 2. Would never have session of this sensitivity at 4pm on a Friday, just would not happen. 3. Warren Act would prevent rapid departure of staff as cited. Post is 100 percent lies and fully fictional.

You are absolutely lying and we all know it. You think you’re stirring up panic but it isn’t working. Enough of us have some idea of what’s going on and what you are saying is not it. That is not Claims plan at all. Please stop.

All manager meeting at 4 PM EST to roll out the next phase of employee downsizing, this was confirmed by my CSL who advised he won’t be available mid-afternoon on as there are regional management meetings beforehand. Word from him is people will begin getting “terminated” by the end of next week as the Concentrix thing has hit some bumps in the road and Allstate wants the overall employee size cut in half by 10-1 which begins the calendar year 4th quarter. If you think I’m lying, try to see if your CSL is suddenly “unavailable” this afternoon!!!

It’s unfortunate that this once helpful site has turned into a dumpster fire where people can just make up posts to stir the pot. I’m out. All the best to the real employees with legitimate concerns.

What about NY & NJ that is part of the CCO? They just keep talking about attrition and moving work around. Will there be an end for the CCO?

The post is too broad to consider. What lines of business or states involved? There is no Northeast as MOC was shut down as part of Glenn’s Transformation in 2020. Likely BS but states like NY, NJ and others under profit pressure that has significantly reduced PIF and will require less staff. Let’s see if others can provide more clarity. Until then, let’s agree there is no profitable market share growth. Just losses of customers and $. Shame on Hill and Parsons for allowing the P&C business to be destroyed. They knew better but did the go along to get along game to run out the shot clock.

Warran Act would require 60 days notice by federal law to impacted employees. Post is absolute BS.

This is the same nonsense as last week with laying off northeast appraisers. Totally made up.

Plus your post is weak. So the company is laying you off with 3 weeks to decide on severance, which wouldn't really be an option to decline in a layoff, or wait 7 months? You wouldn't be here in 7 months if they are laying you off.
