You must be an executive who's watching this page like a hawk. Did we strike a cord? Maybe you're part of the problem. The company is going to sh-t, the last thing we need to be worried about is DEI over being proficient in your job. Stop saving sh-t managers, directors or VPs just because they fit some bogus DEI matrix. Wake up!

Why don't you guys go work for Chick Fil A, Hobby Lobby or the rest of the conservative run (white preferred) companies instead of sitting at Seagate, complaining about their equity policies? Has someone chained you to a chair?

The company promotes people that can't do their job at a lower level. I've seen it time and time again. People get put into director roles or even VP roles and are not leaders. The team then slowly starts to fall apart and the VP looks to blame others instead of failing to see their own inabilities. That, and the company is so focused on DEI that they don't care how much a person sucks at their job, as long as they promote diversity. It's a sad joke that will only further hurt the company and hinder departments morale.

The company set payscale for managers too low. Good managers get to top of scale, stop getting raises and threaten to leave. The workaround is to promote them to director, instead of just expanding the payscale.
