Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Its has dropped in North America the Furloughs and WFR's will continue till we k--l every practice..

Just lost 30% of our delivery client facing team members in the US ERP practice. Started getting emails at 16:30 EST and just got told someone got it at 18:20 so not sure if they arte still coming.

Some of them had rolling 4 month billable over 110%. So no real reason or logic to the furloughs and WFR's we have ones that have 30% utilization or less and they have not been notified. So only real guess is not if your client facing and billing its about the cost vs profit as the 110% people were all high on the salary range as well. All were Level 5-6 though.

I never thought I would visit this forum being a top performer. I do not have visibility nor any level of control on whats happening around me. This is tough for all. I wish everyone all the very best in the new journey.

I don't understand why anyone would want to work for this company. Work hard, get treated like s***. You can't complain if you make no effort to improve your life.

Nope they are rolling the dice with high cost countries and just axing like slicing through the amazon jungle. There's no end in sight so get out and join a US company that is actually US based. Get yourself out if you can.

This org has been cutting top notch billable resources for years, going back to when they were part of HPE. Quality, senior resources would be WFR'd from on high and then delivery managers would have to scramble to replace them with expensive contractors in order to meet deliverables. It's no wonder they are spiraling to the bottom.

Salvino was clear, all level 5 and 6 gone. The assumption that this level is all people managers with nothing to do is crazy I worked 75 hours a week for years with no vacation time. My mistake. Oh well, let' everyone keep telling me because I'm a 6 I don't work

You should not view your job at DXC as an actual job. To them, people are condiments.

As a previous employee, and now competitor, I welcome the continued incompetence of DXC management.

Hearing of customers slashing the amount they have covered in their support contracts. Tomorrow could be interesting if it’s hatchet day.

PLEASE DEFINE what Furlough is, compared to being WFR? Don't say they can bring you back, because they can hire anyone back if the person wants to.

Furloughed what does that really mean? No severance , no insurance ? Why is it different than a WRF? Even with a WRF they could hire you back at anytime

I don’t understand the open reqs discussion followed up by head chopping either. I just know if I got a call from IBM, I’d consider it! LOL. Actually, if I get the email, I’m likely done with IT service providers.

rolling 4 month billable over 110% means nothing are you getting client work finished or just billing hours ?

Remain skeptical of posts that lack specificity, DXC-specific terminology, and are riddled with typos. There is no practice at DXC called the "ERP Practice." Thirty percent of a team laid off – is that one of a team of three, or 100 out of 300, there's a big difference. I for one would not mind ridding the company of people that do not use your/you're correctly.

7&8 may be hit later this week just not furloughed maybe WFR'ed for good. How client facing 100% billable people were put on the list is beyond reason.. Oh well.. trust nothing they say and look out for yourself.

It's time to stop looking for a pony in the mountain of manure. The only thing that's changed is the wind velocity and direction. The delivery and support teams fought to pull the clients through the pandemic crisis... only to find DXC execs waiting to 'shoot the wounded" . Zero leadership integrity. Consider the 4 day notice on a furlough with no opportunities for internal transfer, no pay, no severance. With all the org churn and upcoming wfrs... the 6week door had already been locked... from thre inside.

It high salaries your knowledge and work mean nothing. I get done in 8 to 10 hours what others list as working 12 to 14. So i guess one should just lie on time cards so you pass the mark.
Also i dont get this furlough as if we will get called back. And whats with May 22 the big WFR. And what about all the open reqs. Why are we not filling them with us???? How is it that no 7 or 8 were hit???
