Thread regarding Pratt and Whitney layoffs

Oct 15th to Nov 15th ?,

I have not heard of any layoffs besides here and the last couple looked fake

So I am wondering if the early reports of Oct 15th to nov 15th were correct

I continue to hear (reliable sources) it’ll be done this month.

As people are getting laid off, their email addresses are only showing up with a *T for a short time and then the email addresses are getting deleted completely. So if you're looking for *T to see how many people have been laid off, you're not going to get an accurate count. I know this because of a few meeting invites I've gotten that included names which now don't exist in outlook at all. I know of at least 20 people in Quality alone that this has happened to.

do you mean *T? If that's the case, I only see one at Pratt.

To tell whose been terminated, check outlook. Terminated employees will have a T at the beginning. You can do a search that way. No secret there. It only works if you are an active employee with access to outlook. If your a T you won’t have access.

Feel free to share with the class instead of trying to act cryptic and mysterious like a 14 year old.

Christ, it’s like listening to a schizophrenic having a conversation with himself.

There’s no way to check if other people have been terminated.

I think I know what you’re saying how to check for people terminated. Just seems like 1 so far if I am doing it the same as you?

I figured out how to do it, and haven't noticed anything unusual.

I am surprised none of the people that work there know how to check terminations. You can easily verify how many people have been terminated the next morning. You don’t need anything special, it’s so simple I can’t say it here.

Heard from few different groups/departments layoffs would be completed by 10/15. This is the first I’m hearing extending it out til November..

I don't think we're gonna get any flowdown. This is how layoffs work these days, it happens quietly.

I have had zero flow down.

Maybe to minimize the number of people on-campus at any given time?

Why the gradual layoffs instead of all in one swoop like before?

Again. Per flow down from managers the MASS cuts are set to happen between 10/15 and 11/15. Total cut of 8K. Not sure if it will happen all at once.

Previous VSP’s, outsource cuts, etc. are part of the total 8K. Projected cuts are 15-20%

Stated that it will NOT be even across the board. Assuming commercial programs / production and the like will take the bigger hit due to budget cuts.

Some minor cuts have already occurred although one should assume trolls on this board maybe posting stuff.

The only internal info we've gotten in flow downs from management has consistently said Oct 15 to Nov 15. The layoffs happening now are carry overs from the initial furloughs/reductions.

Yes people have been let go. But there are some trolls posting misleading information. Understand the layoffs are happening throughout all of Raytheon.... so it isn’t like you’ll see mass gatherings be walked out. Chill.

They're already happening. @uur+17krEZqL you're completely in denial.
