Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Don't wait to be laid-off if you have been with Wells less than 5 years!!

Most of us who want to be laid-off have been with Wells for a long time. But y'all younglings, start your job search right now. One of my co-workers was laid-off, but had no idea it was coming. Get your resume out there, folks.

I’m trying to wait it out but it’s agonizing waiting for my turn

I've been with Wells Fargo for almost seven years. I have enough save outside of retirement to not work for ten years. I'm waiting out the company for my severance and unemployment benefits.

Waiting is hard but it'll pay off.

If a thousand people are applying for every job posting, there aren't "plenty".

Automation was supposed to make us more efficient. Instead, it made corporate layoffs turn the hiring practice into a clogged artery causing the job market to have a heart attack.

@1mls+1tvn9otW Plenty of companies are hiring, especially when you’re open to changing industries and/or fields. The problem is there are hundreds to thousands of applicants for every opening. Most especially if your function allows for working remotely. On top of that a vast majority of the applicants don’t even truly want the position, they are simply dynamite fishing. Blasting every opening, clogging the pipelines looking for better or a side-job.
