Most folks with mid-year below strong rating are pushed to below strong at year end as well. These will likely be targeted for layoffs. Just as happened last year.
Listen to @1mdc+1qkodQEd that is the best advice. If you're put on a coaching plan or PIP suddenly then it's likely you've been targeted and you have evidence to negotiate a severance and get out.
Pray for the best but prepare and expect the worst. Performance based cuts will more than likely continue as well as downsizing where there is duplication in roles. Consider keeping your resume up to date and all documentation (360 reviews, management emails, reviews from prior years, etc) saved to an external drive or email
