Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Credit where it’s due

UK recent cohort of grads that moved off the scheme have been given decent pay rises. It’s not all doom and gloom!

Graduates generally su-k, they know nowt but get better pay and demand better pay! It should be based on actions and not on their degree

@1lwd+1vXuQHmB Nobody who's been with DXC less than 2 or 3 years stays with DXC. Funny that! Maybe that's why they just abandoned long service awards entirely. In fact it takes so long to on-board someone into some accounts, that by the time they get to see what their new role involves, and actually have all the equipment and access to do it - they've long since decided it was a bad decision and already applying for a new role, so some never do a days useful work for DXC.

Funny all the grads I know leave once they DXC fails to live up to the promise/expectation that they get a pay bump after their 2 year graduate bit is up. Certainly precious few here by 3 years. And at some point all the old folk like me, will eventually leave/retire/die leaving DXC with no one with any knowledge or competency.

@scu+1vXuQHmB I'm in a similar position. Significantly underpaid compared to my new colleagues, supplemented by a few x grads, who's rise only bought them back up to the level of new grads. Nobody's happy. The account is faltering. DXC can't deliver, because DXC won't pay long standing staff near market. Even my boss says you should just quit. So likewise good luck figuring it all out to even keep it stable, let alone change and improve it. If the company thinks it's got 30 days to negotiate and download my mind it's deluded. The day I quit is the day I wipe my mind and move on.

Most of the ex graduates in my team got insulting offers, they would be better off starting again with a graduate scheme at another company

Let's hope the graduates can learn extremely quickly as once I put in my 30 days notice they will have 29 days to learn, what I've done for the last 30 years! I work for a client that has 1 dxc employee in the UK (me) good luck and expect to lose the contract in the blink of an eye (why dxc think they can save 5% but lose hundreds of thousands beats me
