Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

There are no layoffs in 2022

Please stop the "fake news" posts. You are creating unnecessary anxiety for the people.

There have been no announcements internally by email from Mike Sievert or publicly to the regular or financial news.

Please stop things are bad enough with the recession.

Layoffs to continue into 2023, thousands more to go

I was separated in April because I didn't take the covid vaccine.
Did the senior leaders or Deanne King every say how many people were let go from the vaccine mandate?

Whoever said there are no layoffs in 2022 most obviously can’t read or comprehend a pink slip when it arrives. Hello?…….wireless workers are being cut left and right and are there more standing network tickets than ever due to them being laid off? Must be because the coverage is starting to suck Due to no techs? Where Verizon can’t hire enough. What’s going on Sievert? Why all the fuss about spending billions a month in adds and new towers when it comes at the price of receiving millions of fines from the FCC because ya don’t have anyone to repair the network any longer? What gives? This is a great example of an explosion about to go off with a mass exodus of wireless accounts. How will that affect the bottom line? See ya in the unemployment line sooner than later. Congress is knocking at the door and the DOJ has a battering ram outside in Bellevue. Demand for answers on all the lies…….

hilarious to see so many people still mad about getting canned because of the vaccine. your positions weren't eliminated, you were because you refused risk mitigation. be mad at t-mobile for forcing everyone back into offices and CECs, as continued WFH is the best risk mitigation they could have done (for you and everyone else).

It’s safe to say this is the most DISLIKED post on here EVER.

The facts: EVERY single Friday since the first layoffs of the RDMs in February there have been more layoffs. The total is in the 1000s of employees not 100s. The company is doing this to avoid publicly announcing the total number, BUT the word is getting out and I give it MAYBE 2 months max before the company has to PUBLICLY announce the dishonest way the went about all this.

I was one of the RSMs laid off, the truth is that MOST of the layoffs were legacy T-MOBILE (facts, ask anyone in HR), most were tenured so by that same fact they were 40+ in age, and a quick Google search will show you there are over 300 lawsuits against the company.

I have been extremely grateful for finding a new job that pays more, appreciates more, and isn’t filled with a bunch of kids (like the person that created this post) that bob on the nutz of TMo.

If you were laid off, it’s gonna be ok, you were better than what this new company has turned into. Don’t waste time, yes the job market is hot, but with layoffs happening everywhere network now, get out there, and keep that severance in your savings or take a family trip next year or buy property and thank TMobile for doing that for you as you move on to bigger and better things.

To the people still there, it’s fine that you love the company. Just don’t forget this moment in time when the company you so call “love” has let go of people that helped you directly/indirectly and they continue to be more dishonest than ANY other carrier out there.

There will be a time where this will all come to surface and you will see in the next 12 months MAX Freire will leave, Sievert will announce some nonsense about stepping away for personal reasons, and things will continue to be left in the hands of legacy Sprint (no disrespect intended to Sprint, y’all were just doing your thing when this all went down).

So best of luck to everyone there and gone, but the one thing everyone has to agree on is this new company is garbage and slowly sinking.

T-Mobile is finally a dominant force and should only be getting stronger, yet morale has tanked because of the leaders.

The only reason why I visited this site over the last few days is because MY MANAGER confessed to me that he was informed of impending company wide layoffs. Soooo yeah.

The SLT creates the "unnecessary anxiety." Fear is a key part of the culture.

There have been no announcements of layoffs, agreed. There have been plenty of layoffs. It would appear that the lawyers and you folks in HR have figured out that if you don't do a mass layoff but do a bunch of smaller ones you can skirt the requirements of the WARN act. Which is just another example of the classlessness of the the SLT at T-Mobile.

Here's another thing to consider.
Since T-Mobile made who knows how many people get vaccinated, when these people catch and re-catch covid, will they think of T-Mobile and Mike Sievert fondly? Think they might be a wee bit mad about this? Do you think will give it their all at work?

The problem for Mike Sievert and the SLT is that everyone knows that the people fired over the vaccine were screwed. Out of their careers, out of stock units, pay, and benefits. And they were sent packing with no severance.
All because they refused to take a useless vaccine.
The failure of the vaccine was not in doubt when they doubled down on his vaccine mandate in Jan/ Feb.
Remember this for the next all-hands pep rally where Sievert wants to act like he's everyone's buddy.
People will put up with a lot but hypocrites are despised.

Firing people over the vaccine wasn't such a great idea, was it?
Everyone knows that they will be let go at any time, regardless of their contributions.
The SLT lies in the bed they made.
