Get ready for bigger paychecks: Record high increases expected in 2023

Employers are planning to increase their salary budgets by 4.6% next year, the highest expected annual jump in 15 years.

That's according to the latest international survey from consulting firm Willis Towers Watson, which included responses from 1,550 US employers. The survey was conducted from October 3 to November 4.

Numbers being posted here mean nothing to me. My raise will be zero. I already know that. My manager and I despise each other.

One other point regarding this, WF is a bank and the sector typically pays better than nonbanking industries (except tech), so claiming WF meets the average of all other industries is kind of admitting that WF is still missing the bus.

And why would be our fault that someone is in the field picking crops? People make choices (and excuses).

Nope. Max point is it. You need to get promoted to make any more money.

does anyone know if salary bands/pay scales were also raised across the board? I was very close to the top of my old range pre-title changes and I've always been rated exceeds/consistently exceeds. Is there anything they can do if you are already at the top of your range, instead of a merit increase would they push it all to bonus/one time cash award?

  1. 8 in my area. wf is always about 1% below industry. prior years seemed to be around 3 in the industry and wf would show up at 2.

Be happy you're not out in the elements picking crops for 12 hours while someone sprays Windex in your face.

Don't worry about your precious raise.

You should, and eventually will, THANK Wells Fargo for the opportunity they've provided you.

You can expect about 9% for high performers.

Everyone saying 5% is wrong, that was a rumor circulated on here. Comp is out now and it's 3.8%

5%? 3?? Big whoop. Both are sub inflationary just as the 2% has always been. “Merit” increase is a joke.

No the poster below about the 5% is right, not you. There have been many threads and posts about it, they all said 5% until one recently that said 3.8%, which is clearly a random rumor someone wanted to throw out there last minute.

They got the memo. And typical WF fashion, they will also find any way to reduce it. 3.8% is what was discussed here.
