Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Why not incentivise employees with annual pay rises and market rate pay to make this company the success it should be!

Strange no town halls from the CEO, would be nice to know the plans regarding pay rises. Was the no pay rise in the UK last year a one off, just applicable to last year or is the future going forward. I feel it's unfair to string hard working employees on not knowing if they'll get a pay rise or not. Employee have faced and are facing increased cost of living expenses and I don't think it unfair for employees to expect an annual payrise, especially with inflation running at double figures.

If the CEO reads this, I hope he addresses the issue with the employees who after all will make or break this company so why not incentivise them with annual pay rises and market rate pay to make this company the success it should be.

It's simple if employer refuse to raise your wage you should look elsewhere. If you are lagging with your wage and market pays more just change company... It is worth it when you manage to get 10+% increase.

Down 67% in the last five years.....can you say "TITANIC"? The iceburg has been hit...it's just a matter of time... And you want a pay raise...Quite laffable to say the least... In fact, if you're still "employed" by DXC ( pronounced DI-KS), you're losing your a$$ every pay period due to inflation!!

Because it’s NOT like we are not profitable. So incentivising performance wouldn’t do anything other than leave less for Salvino.

In the UK our fixed terms contract earn minimum 400 a day for help desk jobs, and up to 1500 for senior roles.

DXC can get a grad in for a senior role too. The funding is fixed for the duration of the contract.

A grad, let alone a help desk staff does NOT earn 400 a day. Infact even the highest paid job on the account is NOT 400 a day let alone 1500 a day.

DXC does not have any locations. Where’s the money going? How can the accounts be in a loss with skeleton staff, no sites, old as fu-k infrastructure which the client ALSO pays for!!

DXc could have been a great company. But that opportunity has gone. The ship has sailed, and DXC missed it. It is now not, and never will be, a great company. Bear this in mind.

DXC's main objective now is to maximise its short-term profits as far as possible. Keep the earnings-per-share high until the company is no longer viable. The only way Mad Mike knows of achieving this is by keeping his cost base as low as possible. This means he's never going to pay you any more. He's also worked out that fewer staff = more profit, 'cause customers are paying a fixed rate (until the contract ends and they leave). Now, he doesn't want to use WFR, 'cause that's expensive in most countries. So what does he do? That's right: no bonuses, no raises, make working conditions as poor as possible; that way people leave voluntarily without him needing to make expensive WFR payments. Simple, isn't it? Even Mad Mike can work it out.

Bottom line: DXC will do nothing for you. If things get really bad they might lay you off, with the smallest payout they can get away with. You want something better, go work for a better company. Many of us already have, and many more soon will.

I can tell you right away what is the plan for pay rises at high cost locations.
There is no plan, there never was, and there won't ever be any.
There, you have heard it now from me.
Stop pestering me now.

It amazes me just how often I come across slooooow people on this site.

We provide IT services, we support apps, we provide consultancy, NOBODY said we are Google or Microsoft. The fact that you think that people on here think we are is tragic and therefore I suggest you stop taking your stoopid pills and start reading properly.

Thick skulls. Let me drill this into your heads, so you can understand. DXC is not Google or Microsoft or Amazon or SAP wherein people innovate next Gen things. Our best innovation till date is Platform - Su-ks. We are a poor man's IT outsourcing company. We got out of Datacenters as well. Now let's get to economics. With struggling revenues there is no way the company can afford employees in high cost centers. Hence the company has pivoted rightly so to best shore locations and investing there and retaining talent (rightly so). So stop complaining and you are not a slave here. Fifteen days notice and you are off to a good paying job (if you are qualified enough)..... otherwise just shut up.

Mike and Mary Salvino already do that in India, just not in NA and UKI.

They earn enough but their Ponzi scheme means the profits from this region are siphoned to offshore to pay for the big benches there.
