Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC owns airport data centers?

I didn't relize this but after doing a bit of research on the Sabre-DXC partnership I realized that DXC is operating a data center that is inside the premises of the Tulsa International Airport. The Data center was expanded on by EDS back in 2009 so I'm assuming DXC literally owns it. Is this why the airlines are stuck on DXC? Anyone know if DXC plans to sell these types of data centers? Are there any others like the one in Tulsa?

@1ktz+1rhij234 well now that DXC migrated Sabre to Google cloud I'd venture to say that the Sabre data center is on the chopping block. Is DXC out as Sabre's intergrator?

Actually, no, I'm wrong. Yes there is a former Sabre DC at the airport and DXC still owns it.

These sorts of things tended to come from various large outsourcing deals for specific customers. The property is part of the deal - presumably as a down payment.

They are run until the customer exits or no longer wants to use the location.

If you look (internally) you'll see there are a lot of DXC dc's around the world. Some you've heard of, some you won't have unless you are aligned to specific accounts. Far more than you'd first think...

And yes they are selling as many as they possibly can, obviously not all can be sold.

It sounds like you are talking about Tulsa datacentre. Which isn't at the airport.

Tulsa dc is still very much in use, owned by DXC and its pretty large.

Yes, we own airports, stadiums, football, hockey, soccer and basketball teams and franchises. We use AI to integrate all of them - it is called offering led model.
