Management layoff

3 SRO's are gone from the Pacific Northwest as of this morning. I am sure that there are more RIF's happening today.

@1wf No, you weren't looking at the lake, you were looking at a screen. 🙄

Free advice…you sound fluent in how fast food works. Give it up. The saturated fats will make you obese if you arent already and the sodium will turn your brain into soup. Take that 100 bucks a week you spend at MC’Deaths and put it in the roth option in your 401k. No need to thank me in 20 years. (Keep eating pizza though. It’s the other food group). 😜

@1wf one thing about the internet is that people who brag about how good they got it, or how smart they are.. almost always are lying. Remember we don’t offer the customer condiments..only give out the condiments of they ask. And no more than two packets per order . As you’re the one putting the fry’s in the bag, it’s expected that you don’t give out anymore than necessary packets of condiments!!

Zero chance for me squirt. Sitting on the porch looking at the lake right now and havnt touched a French fry in years. Havnt even spent a penny of my buyout money….you see, I started planning for retirement heavily about 15 years ago. Maxed my 401k out every year. Maxed out a Roth every year. Opened a separate brokerage account and invested leftover money every month. Su-ks the price of oil is through the roof but Ive driven about 20 miles since I retired and my investments are all in fixed income now making about the same as my paychecks were every month. Don’t pretend like you know anything about me. You’d be better off worrying about your own future.

@qw lol WW3 is here.. and unless you expected that oil was going up to 200 bucks a barrel!! Good chance You’ll be putting Fry’s in the bag! Told ya hard times are coming! Su-k time to not have a full time gig! Even if you don’t know how long the one you got will last!

Anymore? When were we nuked? By anyone? When has anyone been nuked since Japan. Don’t worry, now that the country without nukes you’re worried about nuking us is done there will be a new boogeyman you’re told to fear next month. Probably psychotic Cuban dr-g lords wielding machine g-ns high on coke right?

Totally obliterated their nukes for the 2nd time this year. Or will next time or the time after that be obliteration. Stop and look in the mirror and think about who is really being served the kool aid.

@n0 lol come back in a year, and tell us how much of that extra 55k you still have in your pocket, retirees health insurance alone is going to eat into that big time!

Unless you’re 67 on full social security & drawing Medicare you are going to be looking for work!

As 1 person put it the other day, there are no tears being shed for the MRO that has been let go, hopefully now morale will come back and the region can get salvaged somehow.

I'm an analyst in the company, I got let go on Thursday. When they say things like "don't be afraid of AI" and "if you work yourself out of a job you can just get another one" the writing is on the wall.

@bd It’s interesting how one previous SRO eastern Oregon Washington was an allowed to become a technician to escape this another SRO was allowed to become a CO tech. This stuff was previously not allowed. Now technicians will lose their jobs to allow managers to ride out their careers.

What a shame. It’s amazing how fast these greedy maga people destroyed a good company. They had it all, the right of ways, the real estate, the branding. At one time, the spectrum. Their cloud bet was a complete failure. Their AI bet is the next failure. You can run AI locally on your computer without the Internet now. What a bunch of d-mbasses.

Eastern, WA 1 SRO, Eastern OR 1 SRO. Western WA 3 SRO. Engineering mgr. probably more.

Probably only need one supervisor per big city, maybe 1 for outstate. Maybe 1 MRO per state. This is not surprising at all.
