Eliminated job but no severance offered due to outsourcing that job to third party. Not even classified as a contractor. Shady things going on.

No severance if outsourced unless the employer they outsource you to does not hire you you “MAY” be eligible for severance - this is the full and honest truth as I am going through it !
What a great company USB has become
we are sc--wed - i am hating H1B program
This is more for times when the outsourcing company would offer a comparable job
Which of course means massive pay cut. But hey it's a "job" (eyeroll)

Is this anywhere in writing, as in some article on the my hr website, or is it on some letter you received this month? If you get a letter, post a picture to an anonymous pic site like imgur or something, then post the link here. Otherwise this does not sound right. I know of departments that were eliminated and they kept their pension AND got severance. I think if you are at the bank for at least 1 year, you qualify.
“If your job is eliminated because a business line is outsourced, you are not eligible for severance” Paraphrasing but that’s it in a nutshell. So you either finish with the bank or you have to go to the new company if they offer you something, probably less than what you’re making. It’s bogus.
This is untrue, if you’re a full time employee you’ll get severance.
The bank makes out in this scenario. No severance pay outs AND cheaper labor overseas. Just when you think the bank can’t tell the employees they don’t matter any more than they already have in the last year they succeed again! I just wish I was shocked by this, but sadly I’m not. All AC cares about is the shareholders.
Some of y'all need to familiarize yourselves with the severance policy. It is on Total Rewards. Just type severance in the search bar and you can download it. OP is telling the truth.
I've never heard that. Are you sure?
It's in the severance package that if your job is outsourced you get no severance unless the bank informs you in writing that you are eligible for severance. That is so coldblooded. It's time to start building that emergency fund if you haven't already.
What? That’s crazy. So outsourced job equals no severance. Man, I would be really mad if that’s true
This must be fake news
