I work in the Jacksonville office and got laid off. They are laying a lot of people off and outsourcing the jobs to India.

@1kbp+1h2RehBa You confirmed what I suspected and told a couple coworkers yesterday after the announcement. It’s not exactly like Allstate is very good at hiding their nefarious intentions.

Staff counsel had a meeting yesterday where we were informed there’s now a freeze on hiring American Administrative Assistants and Paralegals. Those who leave will now be replaced by Indian workers who will only be assigned “some” of the former employee’s work duties. The American workers will have their former co-worker’s work redistributed to them. Allegedly, there will somehow not be an increase in workload, even though the American employees will have to take on work for an unknown number of American lawyers, up from the current number of 2. This is absurd.

I'm so sorry to hear that you got laid off. Just don't take it personally. It's Allstate. Enough said. Wishing you all the best for the future. It will get better. Look forward not back.

I can’t believe they haven’t sold Allstate Benefits yet- total garbage company run by a bunch of washed up clowns
This was announced today at 2:30. 200 Allstate Benefits employees. There we be a partnership with Accenture in India to take on support work. They may hire affected Allstate employees. Allstate will get people off the books for the benefits and pension with this move. Affected employees so be gone by January.
