I was laid off too. 42 years in the paging and telegraph division. I never saw it coming. Cruel.

Yes, at 16 years, I got exactly what you got. Why? Because it's T-Mobile's STANDARD SEVERANCE PACKAGE.

Were you fired or laid off? What group? Technology? "The Business"? A market?

And as far as a bunch of magenta down the drain, i had 16 years of it that went down the drain. You'll get over it when you find another job that doesn't su-k the life out of you.

there will always be layoffs. It will never stop ever. It is cause the telco are going barnkrupt and in declinine with non-stop customer decline and revenue decline. Nothing will change it. It is the fact over the last 20yrs. We will be ok cause the layoffs will shutdown bad products. Bad products need to end. Bad execs need to loos their jobs. It is the way of good busin. It is always the market doing the self correcting.

Hopefully. Still far too many worthless and overpaid middle managers, Directors, VPs, SVPs, etc. Could do away with 80%.
