Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Remember the good old days...

Busy campus with cafes serving good food. Purefitness next door with plenty of classes and fitness options. Actually meeting with people in person to resolve problems and make plans. Processes that weren't so deep that you need a JN to navigate them. I'm glad I was there.

Straight facts!
I remember seeing others play bball or volleyball for hours and wonder what they really do at Viasat …. Or some lots will hide in the wellness rooms or break room all day! Or come work, and went straight to the gym or grab their bikes and be gone all day!
They when the option for wfh came along…. Then they disappeared…… yup,…
We saw the results of that…. Nothing got done, and bo-m
RIFs happen…. And the try to blame leadership…. Get out with that!
Y’all just lazy and took advantage of the best company!

Like the orbital decay of an end of life satellite, but without the light show. New 52 week low coming.

Now would be the time to give out a truck load of RSUs. I bet Guru will get a bunch. Probably none for the expendables.

Market cap is what people are willing to pay for it, and that's not looking good.

Some people also struggle with the math. $2.04 billion is the market cap, not the enterprise value. Never mind the giant debt gorilla over in the corner to the tune of 3x the market cap. Ever tried to finance a house that's upside down? it's kinda like that, toxic.

Don’t hate on the truth,
ViaSat will be fine,
Company’s net worth is 2.04 billion…. Nothing to worry about

Race troll is back. Doesn't understand that technology disruptions are a winner take all affair. There is no second third or fourth place. There is only first place and everybody else struggling as walking dead.

Don’t fall to temptations of these terrible rumors. Stay positive, with the established contracts that Viasat acquired from the Inmarsat acquisition, and when VS3 flight 2 is launched and bringing in revenue, Viasat will catch-up. A runner can trip and fall and still get back up to win a race.

Don’t listen all the noise from PnC shills or fake employees that just want to convince you not to quit. Viasat wished for all our parties to be laid off, fortunately that was the result Viasat had to do it in an effort to make the product even shittier. However Viasat still treated them like human garbage, as they deserve, plus the company knows that there isn't a spine left between current employees, so don’t listen to all those Trolls!
Viasat was never on top and won't get there! No matter what happens, keep getting put down. For every time you get put down, the fall makes your employer richer and thrusts you to a new level of shame. Whatever you might be facing. In the end, what matters is how quickly you get back up and take another selfie.

Don’t listen all the noise from former employees or rival companies that just want to bring the morale down. Viasat didn’t wish for all our parties to be laid off, unfortunately that was the result Viasat had to do it in an effort to reduce costs and to restructure Viasat’s business model. However Viasat still treated them with the respect and dignity they deserve, plus the company knows that they can count on our support in doing the same, so don’t listen to all those Trolls!
Viasat will be back on top once more! No matter what happens, keep getting back up. For every time you get back up, the fall makes you stronger and thrusts you to a new level. Whatever you might be facing. In the end, what matters is how quickly you get back up and take your power back

Yes, pre-pandemic was a golden era at Viasat HQ. I’m glad to have experienced it. At that time, my plan was to work there until retirement. Oh well… onwards.
