Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

EPTO For COVID19

Does anyone know anyone who actually got approved for this? Everyone in our group was turned down, even an old guy with chronic asthma and bronchitis. They tell us we don't qualify.

I jumped on it pretty quickly in my group. It got approved but it was a compromise and I could only use 2 days a week. I got all 80hrs though!

Am a cancer survivor and now haven't again. Hug blood pressure and diabetes. Wanted to make off during the peak. My manager initially said ok but when he went to his manager it got shot down because I don't have virus symptoms. Yet, these younger guys get apprived to stay home and babysit their kids. It is clear they don't care about anyone over 40.

Folks, get FMLA from your Dr first, then push for it. Without a Dr signing off, you are on your own.

It was to be 80 hrs. Payed for self if not feeling well or family such as kids being home from school, not to be charged against your payed time off. Go for it.

Turned down, sent home with no pay, with HR standing right there and right under their noses. This must have been a publicity stunt by the company to show the world their compassion. When management can change the rules to suit their denial and HR won't do a darn thing about it, the employee is screwed. This is also a handy way to create a new hit list to harass or fire when they want their jollies stoked.
