I know that 95% of you will think this is impossible but you WILL be hearing about another AERO RIF next week in the US. For those that didn’t volunteer 3 weeks ago or didn’t get accepted you will have another shot at it next week. Once again, it will not be in writing.

@5jh of course Q2 numbers are bad. It’s the reason why they are so haphazardly laying people off so quickly after the first round...desperately hoping to artificially prop up the stock price to keep the scam going for Wall Street...smells like desperation.
So now that everyone knows that the Aero RIF is real, just as @TiredDirector said, this means that Q2 numbers are in the toilet. Wall Street - are you hearing this?!?! Anyone from Aero who doesn't escape this mess is going to be saddled with more jobs than can be handled by a reasonable human being. Customers - are you hearing this?!?! No one will be left from HON that can assist you or answer your questions. What a cluster f—. I won't work for this company for all the money in the world! My sympathies to those who volunteer and are rejected by this sh–hole of a company!

So this is what it feels like when a company goes out of business! You see it on the news about major corporations going bankrupt like Kmart, JC penny and Enron, and now we will all get to experience the same thing. AERO is in the final death throws but essentially it's done for. $1B in past dues with no one to work it down and it wouldn't matter anyway as most of the customers who placed the orders are either bankrupt or refusing deliveries. The income for AERO has all but stopped so the "leaders" are panicking and doing the only thing they know how to do I'm order to keep the stock price up; cut costs. The problem with this strategy is just like with socialism, eventually you run out of other people's money. In this case, eventually you run out of people to RIF, revenue goes to zero and then the announcement comes in the news.
I just hope I get my RIF now while the paychecks are still clearing and I can cash out my pension before they steal that too.

I'm not "Tired Director", but I heard this from two different sources in two different regions. I also saw it here, so yes, I don't have a letter from MM or DA stating there is another layoff coming but when two different people confirmed it in different ways, I think that's pretty credible evidence. Well know these cowards won't put anything in writing, so all we have to go on are phone calls and RIF packages for information. I think we will see this week if what TD said was accurate. God I hope I'm in this next RIF!!!

Where is the source?
For those of you that are reporting that you have "confirmed" that the layoff will be announced this week, please do share who is your source and location of the confirmation. I have not been able to get any confirmation, only rumors and speculation on this site seem to exist. Crickets at Aero in Phoenix.
If this new RIF action happens (and from what I'm hearing, it's real), watch for the Q2 Aero results released in late July. I'm betting it will show the worst quarter for HON since 2001/2 or 2008/9. This is all part of the plan, folks. A bad quarter will "justify" the need for RIFs, and then watch HON's profits rise in Q3 and Q4 as they loosen up the money they've been hiding on the balance sheet in their reserve accounts. Why the auditors aren't all over this, I don't know, but it is the way for Aero to "downsize" the organization with little pain to leadership. The goal is to get rid of high salaried employees and the "wrench turning" businesses.
All this sounds a bit Stalinist. New lists!

Confirmed that the self nomination will be announced this week, with nothing in writing just like the last one. Am hearing it will be deep but no information yet on which sites and functions. As usual, ALT and HR are keeping their dirty little secrets to themselves.

1992 +1000 let go or so I was told by a fellow Associate, He said they closed Ottawa Kansas and maybe the Paola Kansas sites.
1997 +30 Marketing people let go
1999 +100 Engineers and support staff
2000 Allied Signal becomes Honeywell. Aero World HDQ is no longer Olathe, KS but instead moves to Phoenix AZ. Don't know how many jobs lost but figure 30.
2001 +20 Hourly production Associates Let go- 9/11 downturn.
2002 Bought El Monte site (Chadwick) moved production to Cedar Creek.
2003 +100 Hourly production, This was when the union was de-certified.
2005 +300 Aerospace RE-ORG. Loss of site P/L status which moved to Phoenix as it was now AREO.
2006 Closed Lawrence Site and moved production to Cedar creek.
2007 Some Redmond products moved to Cedar Creek.
2008 1st wave of BK products moved to Malaysia.
2009 +300 4 waves of RIF's- 1 in March, 1 in July, 1 in August and a final one in Sept- The Great Recession. Some products outsourced to third party vendors.
2012 Movement of the Bendix /King management out of Cedar Creek to ABQ. Some production remains at Cedar Creek.
2015 +??? Q4 RIF, it was small.
2019 Closed Wichita and Renton sites, R&O jobs moved to Cedar Creek.
2020 1st wave of Layoffs +135 All types of associates let go or retired with severance. COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Over the 20 years there have been small (think 1 to 5 people layoffs) every once in awhile. They preferred to overwork you in order to get you to quit, then they don't have to pay you.
My advice be a tick, dig in and enjoy the MANDATORY but not declared OVERTIME that is most certainly coming your way if you survive!
Most people will not work crazy amount of hours to cover for RIFed employees. There is 0 benefits. Working like a slave just to get RIFed later on anyway. Whats the point?
Soon anyone not RIFd will be doing 4 or 5 full time jobs. The best we can do is just say no. Want me to work OT to cover the responsibilities of someone else? NO! Guess you'll have to fire me, too. If enough people get up and say I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take this anymore!!! Things would change. It would be really funny to watch these brainless VPs scramble to get things done when the employees are saying NO.
The knucklehead mgmt cannot plan anything right. So here we are. Or soon not. Whatever. Lets just RIF everybody so we can all RIP

You might do ok when the economy is at its peak but the moment trouble arrives the bad decisions shine through. They are going to dump the aero t–d as soon as they can. Good luck to all of you who survive and have to pick up a completely undoable workload.

@TiredDirector As someone who is trying to be cognizant of RIFs because of COVID/personal financial impacts, I appreciate you telling us the TRUTH. Management has been saying that we're in the clear and didn't indicate RIFs would be coming so soon again. I unfortunately let my guard down. We appreciate and thank you.

Who in their right mind would NOT take a severance package. 6 mos pay for me.
For anyone who continues to ask why they were not selected as a volunteer... Volunteer or not, Honeywell is a public company and has policies in place for this process. They don't want to get sued. They made things easier with the standard title, but in the end, if a position is part of the RIF it can not be replaced for a set length of time. Severence is being given in accordance with this process. This isn't just a HON policy, I've seen it at other Fortune 500 companies.
I think it was 10-15 years ago when some Phoenix R&O employees were let go, sued for discrimination, won, and came back.
Which means that someone can use your volunteer spot against HON when they look at the big picture if the numbers don't line up perfectly.
By law, the only thing that matters for the courts is age, gender, position, and years of service.
If you want to volunteer at this point, do it without a severance package.
HW....bad...they care nothing about the employee who keeps the business going. It's so sad cause they used to be an employee focused company back when it was located in MN....
Olathe Kansas site during May got hit with 130 plus RIF’s out of 500-600 employees. Last week they got rid of second shift and brought the employees to work on 1st shift. I guess it will be easier to RIF everyone now. They must be using kettling technique like the police riots.
Honeywell RIF volunteers are not denied because they are valued employees, it is because Honeywell wants to use them for their end. My building is being moved, I was denied last RIF only because they need me to complete the move because they have already RIF'ed or not replaced the people who left on their own. I have 40 years in so I am still trying to understand why I am still here. I guess greed waiting for the severance package, not sure I can hold on till end of year.
In addition to the foregoing, the sr. admins "know too much" to be let out of sight.
The Exec admins are safe because their bosses don’t want to be troubled being without one. Admins with bosses below director level got involuntarily let go. The remaining admins now get to add that work to their own!
@1jta leaders need their admins. They can't do what you do. They wouldn't be able to replace you for 12 months. Maybe you will be lucky and they decide to let some admins cover more "Leaders".
Why aren't they letting executive admins go? Several have put in for the voluntary and were denied??? Don't get it! If anyone knows please chime in.
We know that PR is in the RIF for this round. Perhaps the EMEAI and AsiaPac sites are in this one. Or perhaps the ALT will announce another site closure. Good luck to all!
