Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Nissan ceo cuts pay in half to saving company costs. Is the cvx board taking notes?

"In a significant gesture, CEO Makoto Uchida has agreed to cut his monthly pay in half."

How much would cvx save if executive pay was cut? I was surprised to see nissan doing this. The at&t ceo got a $32 million raise while the company laid off 20,000 workers.

Cvx board. Take a note out of nissans book and not at&t's.

Let me correct my statement.
A more common strategy that will create more value is to cut everyones pay in half except for higher ups. Leadership is probably very good at maximizing their pay.

@2fee, MW is an employee also. He is our employee, maybe not yours. We do want him to increase the value of our holdings, and yours.

MW strategy will create more value. He will cut employees salaries in half not his.

@1jsj there's no corporate greed in Japan and/or not much compared to the US? Most sources indicate just the opposite. It's obvious that you had a swing and a miss with that comment and you have absolutely no clue about anything except bashing the US, a typical leftist trait.

There is no chance that they will cut their pay. They believe that they are doing the hard work of saving the company by making these tough decisions. They will be rewarded handsomely by the BOD. I've seen this happen before and it will happen again. MW, MN and the rest couldn't care less what any of us think or want.

Country or company or community before self or party is not an American trait. We are unique in the world and why we are the US of ME.
