I am a nurse and have worked, worked and worked! Please don't put all nurses or anyone for that matter all in one ship. Everyone has different work ethics and devotion to our careers. Most people are very good and hardworking individuals. This may not help us keep our jobs any longer, but we are here earning an honest living. Thanks for reading this post. Have an awesome day everyone.

That's the d-mbest thing I have ever heard. The majority of those impacted gave 150% to this company for many years. The loyalty was 1 sided.

I heard the same news about getting rid of remote nurses as a lot are caught having second remote jobs, or working a while other job when they should be working at Elevance like my old boss who was selling real estate instead of managing us. Also there are nurse who pretend to work while tending to their children or chickens and goats, or nurse who just sit there and do nothing. All these nurse collecting 100k paychecks and these teams have 20 of them so that is $2 million a year out the window paying for lazyness while the rest is us work our butts off for half the pay and get laid off anyway. Good riddance nurses. They can be replaced by AI as health coaches.

This company lays off every month. Only the big ones hit the radar.

Reason despite trying to get a job I knew I was blacklisted.

Note I did not want to work at that toxic company but try to see after sending in over 100 apps if I even get a call. Zero. Not that I would go back.

There are better companies.

There will be more. Layoffs will continue through 2024 and into 2025. Markets have left and stars have been lost. It is inevitable.

Elevance is getting rid of all salaried nurse case manager positions in 2025 and 2025 and will going forward only hire contract nurses where they are paid per call and only make $15.00 per 30 minute call. Too many nurses sitting around doing nothing and mostly remote nurse positions wasting time by not doing anything and costing millions in salaries. Nurse will be the next and with Rat coming on all waste is on the chopping block. Also salaries will be cut $30-40k for managers

If they laid off people in first or second week of Jan 2024, you can certain there will likely be some additional layoffs by March i.e. around performance review cycle, when those that don’t meet expectations would either be fired for lack of performance or put on PiP and then laid off, and they don’t have to pay severance for that. Most companies will do this. Immediate costs are cut with mass layoffs, and then there is systematic cost cutting across all orgs, all depts and teams by showing the door to non-performers through annual performance reviews.

March forecast is, cloudy with a chance of layoffs.

I work for Clinical Analytics. As a lower level employee, my manager refuses to give me my own work.

I don't know if we don't have enough work or I am being gaslighted.

I was told january 11 and January 26 was my last day. I was with the company. 5 years. I was promoted to team lead 1 year ago. I’m a nurse. I was totally blindsided. I thought my manager really liked me.

If your job does not save the company money in any way or you are a manager, then you are top of the list to be let go first.

Can people who make statements about "huge RIF in Q1" at least give some details about how you know? I know most people who are going to be out in March have already been told by now. Because of the WARN law, if it's a big layoff, everyone has to be told 2 months in advance. All the Woodland Hills people were told weeks ago and they have a late March termination date.

There will be a big RIF in Q1. All of you speculating should sit down and zip it.

If I had to guess the next big round will be next September. There will always be layoffs at this company. When does "rat" start working?

The new guy was hired to make change. Part of this change will impact employees

I haven’t heard anything. I think we may be done with large scale layoffs for a while. Any RIFs going forward will likely be small in scale and only affect individual units.
