Did anyone who was part of the 11/22 layoff receive a “congratulations on your retirement” letter in the mail. I did not retire so curious to know why I would receive this letter….with the option to choose a retirement gift. TIA

Layoffs can be confusing and stressful. I don't know your specific details, but it sounds like TEC is waiting for the details regarding the dates for the layoff funds involved. It takes about 2 weeks to receive your severance package after your last day of employment/notice period, given you have signed the appropriate documents. After confirmation, there is a waiting period with TEC, receiving only 1 weeks at first, with catch up payments around on week 3. Hang in there!

Texas. USAA is claiming that I would receive unemployment checks until severance is paid out. If it’s not the case, I’ll have to find a statue where it says USAA can stonewall the benefit.

Which state do you reside in? If you were laid off in Texas, the severance would not impact your ability to collect unemployment insurance.
The only thing that USAA contacted me about was them trying to deny unemployment payments 😂😂😂😂 they were not successful at denying the claims as the severance payment hasn’t been deposited to my account.
I cancelled my USAA bank accounts 2 days ago after my ATM was declined. While checking my email I happened to see "Soon you will receive exciting information about the value of your pension benefit to your home address. Don’t miss out! Keep an eye on your mailbox in the coming weeks."
LOL so you are telling me its gonna be a gift, woohooo lol.
I was only under the pension like one month, I was blessed to leave right when things started su-king.
