Not from Merriam-Webster dictionary,, but every current and former employee

layoff :(noun) a common outcome from employment at Honeywell. If you hear layoff, it is probably connected to Honeywell.

layoff :(verb) an action to disconnect employment from individuals (see RIF, reorg, meet the numbers, right-sizing, Honeywell poor planning practices)
