I noticed there are no details in the severance letter regarding PTO payouts.
It’s mentioned in FAQs that the payout would happen on the last check prior to separation. Everything blurs together at this point in reviewing these documents over and over… hoping extra eyes can help confirm or clarify what I understand based on resources provided my T-Mobile. TIA

I’m located in MD. 11/3 separation date.
No paystub, PTO payout or severance pay yet.
Got my pto payout today. Got my 10/29-11/3 pay and first severance listed for 10/29-11/3.
"There are about a dozen states that require immediate payout at the time of separation. Kansas is one of them. Otherwise, you'll be paid for your last week and unused PTO on the next regular pay cycle (11/17)."
Incorrect. KS does NOT require immediate PTO payout.
I'm hearing from some people that aren't in one of the states that require immediate PTO payout at time of separation that they now show a paystub in workday for PTO payout tomorrow.

Previous comment: CA requires all money owed to be paid out at time of separation, so that’s why you saw multiple deposits.
Yes, I also thought the last four days would be paid out with PTO on the next cycle but to my surprise had a second deposit from T-Mobile in my bank yesterday afternoon. I logged into Workday wondering if it was the adjusted bonus, PTO, or something else and under the "Pay" section, there is a pay slip for "period start date" 10/29/2023 and "period end date" 11/2/2023. The amount was for 32.0 hours of "Regular Pay" and also 155.05 hours of "PTO Payout."
There was also 0.0 hours for "CA Compliance Pay" with a small dollar amount. I am not sure if perhaps CA laws require to pay out on the day of termination or if T-Mobile simply screwed up and paid me out early.
"I received my final full check at normal time early Friday morning and then later in the day I received a second payment for the 32 hours this week (10/30-11/2) and my PTO payment. There were a lot of issues across the country with bank transfers today. Check your bank account in a day or so."
You already received payment for your last week of garden leave and your unused PTO? That doesn't seem right. I checked with HR several weeks ago and was told the final week (through 11/3) and PTO would be paid on regular cycle payday which is 11/17.

Agree with previous poster. This current week (if your separation date is 11/3) was not included on today’s paycheck. Our last check with PTO payout, as previously stated, is 11/17.
As for bonus - directly from my severance paperwork: “Once you return your separation/release agreement on or after your separation date, you will enter a revocation period as defined in your agreement, of at least 7 days. Following that period, payments that are listed above as lump sum payments will be paid within 30 days by T-Mobile.”
For salary continuation, again right from the document: “ For the components outlined above as on-going bi-weekly payments, your biweekly payments for severance will follow the normal pay periods and paycheck dates but will start after you have signed and returned your GRA, and the revocation period has been met. These payments will be paid through your Salary Continuation Period.
Your Salary Continuation Pay Period starts the day after your separation date and runs through the number of weeks of severance that you are eligible for based on your years of service and job level as described in the Separation plan.”
So from the day you sign the paperwork, assume 37 days for the bonus at the maximum. From the day you sign the paperwork, assume the next pay cycle for a check.
You should absolutely read and fully understand it before you sign anything.
Also not clear when the bonus lump sum will be paid out.
From the FAQ attached to my severance letter: Final paychecks for hours worked and for unused PTO will be issued as specified by state law: either as an off-cycle payment or on the next scheduled pay date. If paid on the next regularly scheduled pay date, payment will be issued according to your banking information in Workday
I'm not confused. The next scheduled pay date in the state of Washington (in fact for all of T-Mobile) is 11/17. That pay date is for work as of 11/11, which is 3 days after my last day of 11/7. So I expect to see payment for 7 days of garden leave, plus a payout of all my PTO.
Just view your final check, there is an "earnings" section that shows what you're being paid for, standard hours will show as "regular" but you should see a chunk paid out for "PTO" (I wasn't laid off but I quit last year and that's how they paid it out).
