Love it when someone announces a "retirement" right after mass layoffs.
They mention "reorg." Put it another way, there will be layoff when they combine some business lines.
Michelle is retiring at the end of the year. Her org now reports to Leo. No mention of addition layoffs or what other people speculated on here.

I heard the Poet plans to cut actuarial department's headcount by 30%. That's probably they created the department meeting to give it a "heads-up."

A friend told me today that the manager said to the team last week, “it’s the fourth quarter, so we should be safe until the end of the year”. So if you believe what the manager told them, then there you go.
My friend also said, “for the record, I don’t trust anyone in my entire org”.
