Those who’ve been laid off. Those who will keep their job and pick up the mess. This company is shady and immoral. We all should start behaving differently, stop accepting current corporate culture as a given. Everything must profoundly change in this country, and we should start with us. I agree with previous posters - we should start contacting our elected officials, contact the media, and start properly organizing. This can’t go on as it is now.

I agree, I was "fortunate" enough to "survive" RIFs in my org the last few years in January my boss told me my name had even been on the list. I breathed a sigh of relief and put my head down working even harder. I was even more committed to doing a great job, especially since my boss had 'saved me from the chopping block'. Despite losing trusted peers and direct reports I was determined. In June same boss told me Elevance was performing badly across the board.
I was fired for 'performance' in July, by this same boss (no discipline, PIP, and most recent eval meeting expectations). Seems Anthem/Elevance/Wellpoint/Carelon has stooped to new lows to make a buck. Fire people and then you don't even have to pay severance. This company is totally toxic. #Workplace Psychological Safety Act (WPSA) this is needed direct and they need to be held accountable for their actions.
I have contacted local news as well and encourage all those who have been impacted to do so as well. Anthem/Elevance shady executives want to stay under the taser but their family and friends need to see how ruthless & heartless they are for destroying peoples lives.
Well stated! Thank you for your post. Our local media has been contacted.
