Don't worry, they can't disable anything remotely unless you log into the Mattel network. Trust me I work in IT. Just back up anything important on a external hard drive and install a fresh copy of Windows and enjoy your consolation prize.

Well at least we'll all get a new computer out of the deal if we're let go. I can't imagine too many people'll go out of their way to bring it back to the office to drop it off after being sh!tcanned. ☹️

Yep, due to the virus all companies are laying people off via phone call or video conf call. Then you make arrangements to drop off your badge and laptop with security and pick up any belongings that are in the office.
Former employee here... as a manager, I had employees that were laid off over the phone. I'm sure it was like getting dumped by your SO via text, but yes, it happens.

With over 3Billion in debt, and sales at an all time high of 4B, if the reporting wasn’t fudged....or the great business relationships that Mattel can’t keep (Disney). We need MG back, so more words can be painted on our walls, and she can bring in more Executive Technologist from DTV or the DollarTree who then can spout off at the mouth about digital play being our savior. Every person brought in by MG, YNOT, and Dickinson are nothing short of a t–d stain. Mattel is toxic, and is nothing but a mirage. If our company was in the business of making a$&$), our profitability would be greater than Walmart!

Classic Mattel. Cram in as many layoffs as possible before the next earnings report. They've got to bake those savings into the numbers to try and make the losses look more tolerable
