Why would I leave? With WFH monitoring of what gets done so lax (and expectations so low), I can spend a couple hours more per day working a second job with a second paycheck. Using the 2nd paycheck strictly to fund retirement money up to the max.

Tytv: “ I have no plans on leaving and will not be taking the vax.”… this has been, and continues to be, a big problem for Chevron. The good, highly-skilled and motivated folk leave for greener pastures and the deadwood, d-mb$hit stay entrenched. Unfortunately this turnover is encouraged by lower management, who know the stars might be after their jobs but the id--ts will help hold the status quo by being too incompetent to ever advance .
Yes, actively looking. 2 reasons:
- With all the new regulations around electrical vehicles, gasoline demands will reduce drastically over the next 10 years, and gas price is very sensitive to over-supply
- I'm in IT, and after the transformation, there are very few IT jobs I actually want. Career advancement will take way too long. I've gained enough transferrable technical skills to work for other companies/industries
Leaving tomorrow….
Please let me know how we can help facilitate that goal. Remember: One Team!
Yes, to get out of the sh--ho-e that is Texas!
I have no plans on leaving and will not be taking the vax.
You know the vast majority of people who catch covid dont even get symptoms, let alone end up in a hospital bed, right? Your fear mongering is played out.
Why do you care? It’s not you. Let them make their own choice, it does not hurt you.

Yes, unfortunately there are many like you. That’s the problem. Good luck finding a hospital bed if you are in Texas or Louisiana.
I will leave if they mandate the vax. There are many like me.
I plan to leave this sinking ship in a dying industry next year. After we return to the office I will simply get a job elsewhere or wait for a layoff package. Unless you have been around decades, you can pick up new skills and start a new career if you are motivated. The current job market is strong as he-l and people are making tons of money in other industries. Heck I know landscapers pulling in a quarter million bucks a year.
If I find better pay maybe. I have interviewed i the past for comparable jobs with other operators and never received an offer above what I make.
no way! workload is manageable and pay is above market. although the coy culture has gone down the drain
I left a few months ago. I miss working with blue collar operations and maintenance guys that bust their a** for a better life, but I’ve found the grass is greener for motivated engineers. O&G doesn’t have the opportunities for growth that it did, and young talent is going elsewhere. All the smart and motivated folks in my BU are/had left and what’s left are one or the other
If you are staying with the company, I will leave. I can’t stand people like you.
Yes. The reason is that the management is about as inspirational as a dead goat.
