Sometimes in February they will release an official count as of 12/31/2019...

For now, this is the most accurate public number - it's taken from our 10-K SEC Report published in Feburary 2019...

Anyhow, based on it, Windstream has 12,000 employees...

Information Source:

  • EMPLOYEES
At December 31, 2018 , we had 11,945 employees, of which 1,340 employees are part of collective bargaining units. During 2018 , we had no material work

stoppages due to labor disputes with our unionized employees (see Item 1A, “Risk Factors”).

Anyone who has a valid active directory account can list the contents. If you really want to know, the number is right there.

@2xnn+13cUQ14B, this site is much bigger than our company could afford to buy. Take a glance to the main page of this site, there are thousands of forums here, hundreds of new posts appear every minute.
But you are right on one thing, though, posts do get deleted sometimes if site rules get violated (i.e. foul language or real names are used).

Lots of posts are getting deleted from this site. I’m sure Windstream is paying for IP addresses to try and track which employees are posting.

I suspect that we have our first big layoff announcement someone in the next 2 weeks.
We announce 2019/Q4 and year end earnings. We will show major losses and the board and
creditors are going to want to do something about it.

I think we're closer to 11k than we are to 12k. With restructuring plans and agile team blah blah, they're probably aiming for an even 10k mark by the end of the year. I predict the first round of 2020 layoffs will be last week of Jan/first week of Feb.

Under 10k with all the layoffs and resignations. Managers dont even backfill resignations anymore, they let the headcount sit open as they can offer that up in the next layoff instead of cutting an employee. Workload is at an all time low due to the lack of new customer turnups. They have also given up on cost savings migrations and projects, which is very very telling on the execs outlook on things.

It’s hard to say since we rent our headquarters. Most of the people I see work for FIS.

We are around 11k-12k depending on who you ask.

Not sure what the breakdown is between ILEC vs CLEC.

After Q2 I was was told we will be around 1/3 of our current workforce.
