Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Is it just me, or does USAA seem to be completely morally bankrupt?

True. Except they’re all also wearing masks, like in the movie, “Eyes Wide Shut” and if the person doing the spinning throws up, Wayne makes the other eat the vomit.

Upper management writes down random ideas on pieces of paper and the ideas are all put into a hat. At the end of a hallway at midnight, a manager spins around with their forehead on the end of a baseball bat until they become sufficiently dizzy. Once dizzy, they select a piece of paper from the hat and run down the hall. Lining the hall, are other managers tasked with saying "YES, YES, YES" with blind folds on. The manager hands the idea to Wayne, he reads it aloud, and the idea is immediately implemented into processes and procedures. I am convinced this is how decisions are made.

IT has gone downhill in every way imaginable since our current CIO was hired.

Not just morally, they are bleeding cash every quarter. Company may not make it to the year 2027.

It’s not just you. Not at all. And it’s not just employees, either. Members are seeing it as well; just look at all the posts on this site, Reddit, Glass Door, etc. What we are all seeing is the result of Wayne and his crew of yes men and women in the EC. All of them should be fired.

It has been for a while now. From the treatment of remote workers and RTO, the loss of our fellow employee, and the general not listening to employees. Understanding that they can’t release details about the person who took their life, I was incredibly surprised that they didn’t raise more su----e awareness, especially since we pride ourselves on helping veterans with PTSD. Who knows if that was even a factor but Just even having that information around about resources and other stuff like that would’ve shown that they actually cared. Or at least given an illusion of. There was no moments of silence or any kind of recognition that a soul was lost, which is just distasteful.

From any of the recent Townhall’s and meetings, it almost sounds like they are talking to us, as if we are children, and it comes across as unprofessional. This is really unfortunate because I have loved this company and what is stood for. We are not following the mission anymore and I don’t understand how the board doesn’t see it. I am currently looking at other options before the next ridiculous thing happens. It is truly sad as I thought I would be here until retirement.
