After two terrible things happened in the last 2-3 mos, I filed two ethics reports. It’s more me leaving a trail and when I give my two weeks, leave them my name. I won’t lie. They gave me their actual names to contact them. I plan on going all on in on a GVP who has been breaking the rules for decade. She intentionally is abusive and causing people to lose in all aspects. The female version of CM. I’m gonna probably give my name on the way out. I know I won’t be back to this dumpster fire.

Is this OCI?
Yeah, the whole manage your career thing is akin to the plastics industry guilting you to recycle, or you will ki-l a sea turtle. It’s putting the onus in the wrong place, but people accept it because it was delivered with a shiny noisy ad campaign. LinkedIn is the PERFECT example on the career side.
I don’t think this is about “managing your career” as somebody pointed out below. It is about Oracle just being classless and going from a pretty good company to a shell of what it was.
I think anybody posting on this board has either gotten out or is making plans. The “airing of the grievances” is more just to point out what a sh**show it has become. None of us would be here if it was all sunshine and rainbows. So yeah, bon voyage but that’s no reason not to call a spade a spade.
Rat boi strikes again
Hahahahah. You seriously think there are no good mentors or mgmt that actually push people? Go on LinkedIn and you will see TONs of people thanking people who motivated and guided them. I’m the OP. I will still retire early. I’ve got multiple offers and going on interviews on Oracle dime. You’re an id--t if you think people who are managed don’t except some feedback or guidance from their rat mgmt. you sound like you got used to a cr---y culture and expect people’s bare minimum little guy.
The lack of personal responsibility around managing your own career is astounding - unfortunately all too typical of the oracle-leftovers who frequent this board. It sounds like you didn’t do your homework prior to taking a job at oracle, and are now only finally so backed up against the wall that you have no other choice. Meanwhile, you continue to play the victim card - and for what - are you still trying to save face and rationalize the string of bad decisions you made?
Time to grow up. YOU own your career, not your employer.
It’s all good. This is the OP here. To the person that call me a loser, you would never say that to my face. I actually just emailed the same guy who is the lawyer for that guy Peyton. I feel like there are lots that support him. I am getting great leads on new jobs. I’m actually excited cause I know my time is coming to an end and I can’t wait to put this entire experience and absolutely terrible place behind me. I plan on doing very little this month cause my job requires little thought but does require attention. I work in a small unit of Oracle that could be sold for stationary but the things they have done to people, well, I just hope they pay in some way. They’ve really messed with a lot of peoples lives. Especially the mgmt team. I’m happy I saved a ton cause lookin back, learning how to invest better on oracles time and dime will be my win.
Perfect opportunity to get #oracletoo started and populated.
I have some of the same but not sure how to get it more in the public eye. The abuse isn’t quite physical but death by a thousand mental cuts.
It really has become pi-s poor. Anybody thinking of working there - don’t. Anybody that does work there leave.
Record all your conversations. Speak with HR with facts , if no response go to media or threaten going to media. Do it if you have guts.
While I admire your conviction in filing your ethics reports, I also know that little to nothing will be done about it, except that there is a highly probability that you may be ratted out to the very person you reported. You see, HR is not your friend, in fact they are enemy spies. Oh and this is far from unique to Oracle, it is more common than for it to betray you than to be on your side.
