Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Any trust left?

Does anyone have any trust left in our executive management? This is not the same company I hired onto 15 years ago. Its become a disgrace how its being run and how employees are being treated. Leading Performance = Transformation 2.0. So with the next ROM basically being announced will you be heading out the door?

@1oxq and @1gfv, similar experience. Fellow graduate of the great class of 2020. Lived through all the brazen "preferencing" as MW and his cronies tried to create the 'new Chevron' in the image and likeness of the SF Chronicle. It's really sad watching all that we built now crumbling under the weight of PC.

@1gfv+1r50amii Very similar. Started in the 80s and left in 2020 (I eoi’d). I had a great career and for most of it was proud of the company I worked for. In the end I couldn’t stand seeing what the company had become and where it was heading. Political correctness was the order of the day. Job performance meant nothing. But if you were out there on the CVX social media talking it up…..you were so good.

All that churn and re-structuring leads to WHAT - bigger paychecks for those ABOVE - they are all greedy ba----ds and want to fill their pocketbooks with all their cost saving and NEW ideas - hopefully KARMA bites them all in the A$$

I started with Chevron in 1986 and retired in 2016. Most of those 30 were an excellent time to be with the company. The last 5 or 6 years were too woke for my liking and management became less trustworthy, so when I was offered the chance to EOI and take a handsome severance check, I did just that. I don’t regret my rewarding experience and fine people I worked with, but I couldn’t thing of being there anymore. Chevron had changed for the worse. Glad I’m now happily retired.

@aqg, spoken by a high-pot regurgitating the SR line. Maybe a preview of upcoming corporate emails?

2015 gutted cvx as a company and it has never recovered.

Why are you guys so unprepared? Seriously, it sounds like you have no clue about corporate America, layoffs and restructuring is and will be always part of Capitalism. Now the frequency may change from time to time but it is always there, with AI, social media and so much advances of clean energy, the oil industry has extra pressure to be even more profitable to just survive, so get used to it, save, have plan B, C, and even D and don't panic if you were let go, there is always other options if you keep your skills updated and ready for hard work. Do not stress yourself with the thoughts of layoffs, you live only once!
