Let’s be honest. The culture is more about theater than actual execution for the customers. We celebrate the EC at the top, with endless layers in the middle, and DEI? That often stands for “didn’t earn it.” A lot of the work is performative: meetings about meetings, sessions for aligning with influencers and kissing a-s, Slack posts just to prove you’re busy. So much theater, so little real work. And now we’re supposed to learn how cool and charismatic they are?
@1fy They did that too when I worked there. It's embarrassing! The job is only fun for the useless, do-nothing C-Suite with golden parachutes!!! They are totally useless.
I really want to know what “genius” thought talking to a group of adults like they are children is a good idea to build goodwill. Just tell us what we need to know, keep it freaking short (30 minutes) and let us get back to my job. Most of us do not buy into “work is fun” misdirection and certainly do not mistake the “leaders” for creative, bright individuals. Stop wasting our time and get the meeting done.
