Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I have it on good authority, that no retention bonuses are being paid out.

If the company is trying to get people to quit by forcing RTO, you would have been given TW status if they wanted to keep you. If you got FTO, no bonuses are offered to "keep" you at the company. That is BS. Once we get to wave two, relocation packages will be scarce, much less retention bonuses.

After my group was terminated I was contacted by upper mgt to stay on and a bonus with a 1 year payout was offered. I declined the offer as I had a new job awaiting me. Appears that they didn't realize that a in house program being used was written by me decades earlier, had no one left that knew how to use it, nor knew the user & passwords for various algorithms. I never got paid for writing that program so I've started shutting portions down - and soon - will delete it thru a back door that I set up and will do it
thru duplicity of VPN's that I use.

Retention bonuses are only for “golden children” (C suite “friends & family”)…and NEVER for us ‘worker bees’.

I originally thought the FTO designation meant you were safe despite not being in a hub location. I’ve learned recently that was incorrect, the protected are designated as TW even though assigned to a non- hub location. RTO is continuing and you are not safe until you are in Dallas.

In my group (Legal) relocation expenses were offered to 1 person nationwide. No one else got a penny. Only a few more were “offered” to move on their own dime. Everyone else was just fired. RTO is a scam.

@1fxy+1odjTp8H There was a post about someone turning down 50k to stay with the company if they moved, which is BS.

What retention or relocation bonuses are you talking about? It was made clear from day one there will be no incentives to stay or move, only the severance, if we're lucky. Don't you guys get it, still? They don't want anyone to stay, they want as many people as possible to leave.
